Chapter 7

3rd POV

While learning the basics in swordsmanship, Tanjiro panted in exhaustion. He raised his hand to show that he needed to take a small break before they continue.

"Hm..." Kokushibou hummed.

Tanjiro sat down on the ground while wiping off some sweat on his forehead. He reached his hand into his pocket and took out the small bag.

"Hey Koku..." He spoke while still panting a bit.

"Hmm...?" Kokushibou looked at the boy.

"Here, I've got something for you". He reached his fingers into the bag and pulled out a small hairpin that was similar to a flower. It was red and faded into a pink color at the edges.

He reached it out for Kokushibou to get it. Kokushibou picked the hairpin out of his hands and inspected it. He lifted it up and attached it into his hair. He thereafter looked back at Tanjiro.

"Thank you..." He said while giving off a small smile.

Tanjiro looked back and smiled at him.

"Hah, what a day..." Tanjiro sighed.

He's been working his ass off from dusk till dawn.
He layed down on his bed and stared up to the ceiling. He had been training most of his time with Kokushibou and the rest with Akaza, Douma was on a mission so he couldn't join them today.
He had gave all of the accessories to the people he bought them for. Except for Douma of course.

He closed his eyes and slowly he drifted to sleep.

???'s POV

As I and Tomioka-san walked down a path he nudged my shoulder to ask something.

"Who was that boy?" He asked in a low tone.

"Oh well, he just reminded me of someone! Nothing else..." I scratched the back of my head while looking at him.

Back then, I really thought it was him. But I couldn't confirm it since he had a blindfold that covered his eyes. But if it was him, why didn't he notice me?

I looked toward the path just to spot two other people.

"AAAAHHHH, NEZUKO YOU'RE BACK!" A yellow haired male shouted in the distance while running up to us.

"COME BACK AND FIGHT ME!" Another male shouted with a boar head, he was running behind the yellow haired male who was literally crying.

The yellow haired male tugged onto my uniform and begged me to protect him. The other male just laughed hysterically. And Tomioka was just standing alone, staring at us.

"We should go and report to the headquarters". Tomioka finally spoke but it was almost unheard because of the screaming.

"Hm!, Zenitsu could you please let go of my uniform so we can keep on walking?" I asked the male, he nodded a bit before letting go. He was still crying a bit of course.

"And Inosuke, stop being mean to Zenitsu". I pointed at him to show that I really mean it.

He just scoffed while putting his hands on his hips.

We finally reached the headquarters after walking for a good amount of time. Zenitsu and Inosuke couldn't come with us all the way to the headquarters since they received a new mission halfway from here.

While walking to our destination, we walked into the flame pillar.

"Ah! Kamado I was looking for you!" He shouted while walking up to us.

"Rengoku-san!" I shouted back while running up to him.

"Was there something you needed?" I asked curiously.

"Well yes indeed! I was looking forward to ask you if you wanted to come on a mission later with me?" I could sense Tomioka staring at him.

"Sure!, we're just gonna report from our mission then I'll be back". I haven't been on a mission with the flame pillar yet so it was exiting.

"Hm!, I'll wait by the gate for you!" He smiled while walking away waving at us. We waved back and kept on walking.

As we got there we bowed down. Oyakata-sama seemed to have arrived a moment before us.

"It's good to see you're doing well Oyakata-sama". Tomioka said while still bowing down.

"Thank you, Tomioka". He said in a soothing voice while smiling at us.

"We came across a boy who seemed to look like someone Nezuko knew". Ubuyashiki reacted to this.

"Anything else?"

"He seemed to have a blindfold so we couldn't really confirm who he was". Tomioka answered after a while.

"Hmm". Oyakata-sama hummed while smiling.

"It seems like we've found him". He said later on.

"Who?" Tomioka was curious about the answer.

"Muzan's trump card".

3rd POV

Tanjiro shot up from his sleep due to a loud crash. He quickly got up to see what the cause of the crash was.

He ran out of his room, it didn't seem to be that far away so he smelled the air to see what was going on. When catching the scent of a certain person he ran towards his location.

The scent got stronger for every step he took. When finally coming to the located area, almost everything was destroyed. The walls, the ceiling, the furniture, everything was really damaged and it all layed at different locations throughout the place.

He looked around just to spot Muzan in the middle of everything. Did he cause all the damage of the large area?

After some time, some of the moons came to check it out. To see Muzan so mad was a surprise for everyone.

"F-father?" In a second Muzan's hand was around Tanjiro's neck, lifting him from the ground.

"You knew, didn't you?" He was really mad, the sudden reaction caused Tanjiro to panic.

"You still had your memories in that head of yours, and you still didn't say anything?!" He was yelling at him, Tanjiro didn't want to look at him so he shut his eyes tight, begging for this to stop.

"And not only that, you also went out without even asking for my permission. And look what you've caused, now when they know about you what will you do?!" Muzan pierced his nails into his neck. Tanjiro let out a yelp, while trying to get out of his grip.

"This will surely make you forget everything in your past". He said before giving Tanjiro a huge amount of blood.

He dropped the boy onto the ground while he started to tremble in pain, before he eventually passed out on the floor.

"Akaza, carry him to his room and make sure you lock the door". He ordered Akaza who was standing where the rest of the moons where.

"Y-yes Muzan-sama...". He simply followed the order and carried Tanjiro towards his room.
