3rd POVWhile pinning down the boy, Zenitsu came and threw a box at him. He found it in the baggage section of the train and decided that it would be big enough for the demon to fit in, if he could shrink of course.
"Here, this might help to get him to headquarters faster..." Zenitsu was hesitant if this was safe or not. And he didn't want to know what would happen if the demon fought back.
"Thanks!" Rengoku tied his hands, legs and made him bite into a thick rope to keep him from biting them. It seemed like the boy had actually shrunk to a smaller size then before, he also seemed to have fallen asleep to recover from the pain and from the burn marks along his body. He put him in the box and later on closed it gently while trying to not wake him up.
Not for too long after that, the kakushi arrived. They took care of Rengoku's injuries as well as the others. Even tho Rengoku was exhausted, he decided to be the one who carries the box, just in case the demon was attempting to fight back.
"Rengoku-san, are you sure you can carry that box?" Nezuko was concerned. His injuries were worse then what the others were. The box didn't weight that much, but enough to make you get exhausted after maybe an hour or two.
"Yeah...This is nothing compared to the training I went through..." Even tho he kept his usual smile on his face, you could see that he was in pain. His wounds weren't that fatal, except for loosing an eye and having some other small wounds. The kakushi wanted to get him to the butterfly estate, but he insisted and instead he told them to help the passengers that were on the train.
"LETS KILL THAT DEMON!" Inosuke didn't have many injuries, only some scratches. But he still had that same energy coming.
"Please Inosuke...be a bit more quiet please..." Zenitsu whined while walking behind Nezuko.
"So umm...is he really...your brother?" He coughed up a little bit of blood.
"Rengoku-san are you su-"
"Yes...I'm fine...I just need a little bit of rest..." He placed the box down on the ground, he directly sat down at a tree and layed his back against it. The others joined him soon after.
"To answer your question...yes, I think he might be my brother..." she looked at the box beside Rengoku. She knew it was him, but didn't want to tell that much.
"Ah...i see..." He placed his hand on top of the box and gave off a faint smile. He looked at the box. Why's it so quiet?
He leaned against the box to hear if he was awake, but only small snores were heard. He looked back at Nezuko.
"You see, he wasn't always like that..." Nezuko took her glance off of the others and looked down.
"He used to be so kind and beautiful...now look at him, who could've done that to him?! He's already been in so much pain and this is just making the situation worse...he isn't the same as he used to be, he's still beautiful and all but...his expression has changed completely and I don't even recognize him anymore". Nezuko gripped her haori and sat still. She didn't want to cry infront of them.
"I'm sure we'll figure something out..." Nezuko looked up towards Rengoku, he was smiling. Such a warm feeling couldn't be compared to anything else. She has felt this warm embrace once in her life, and it was her brother. The only thing that actually kept their family from falling apart after that their father had died from illness.
"We should keep going..." Rengoku stood up and picked up the box.
—————
Rengoku had gotten a message from Ubuyashiki that they should have a meeting with the other hashiras. Tho Rengoku would head to the butterfly estate instead to get his injuries properly handled. Nezuko would be in charge of the demon in the box instead. Zenitsu was to afraid to even get near it, and Inosuke didn't even come to question.
"It should be right behind that corner". Nezuko pointed out. Zenitsu was holding her haori while Inosuke was just walking behind them, puffing up his chest to show that he's done a great job.
When turning around the corner, the others in the room shifted their eyes towards them.
"Is this the right place...?" Zenitsu hid a little behind Nezuko.
"Oyakata-sama haven't arrived yet, come sit down". Tomioka clapped at the ground beside him.
"Hai.." Nezuko locked eyes with one of them, and he didn't seem that happy.
Nezuko sat down along with Zenitsu and Inosuke beside Tomioka.
"Ara ara~ has Tomioka-san gotten friends?" Someone snickered behind the woman who just spoke.
Tomioka remained silent.
"Is he in there?" He looked at the box and Nezuko nodded while placing her hand against the side of the box.
"Yeah...but he's asleep so it shouldn't be a problem for now".
"For now?, are you fucking stupid?! you're carrying a demon inside that box!" It was the same man that Nezuko locked eyes with. She looked back at him.
"He's my brother-"
"I don't give a shit if he's your brother, it's against the corps rules!" He stood up and was about to take away the box but before he could do that the doors slid open.
"The master has arrived". Two children walked beside the man, helping him to balance while he's walking. They sat down infront of them a bit further away.
"Hello my dear children". All of them bowed down, even the one with anger issues.
"I'd like to discuss about something important". They all raised their heads and looked towards his location.
"Nezuko, that demon you've got in that box, is it your brother?" He glanced towards her.
"Y-yes, he's my older brother..."
"Hmm, I see. Then if so, I'll let you take responsibility for him at the moment". They all widened their eyes and glanced towards her.
"But Oyakata-sama! He's a demon!" The same dude shouted again.
'How annoying...' Nezuko leaned towards the box. The snoring had stopped, a shuffling noise was heard. She looked in between a small gap in the wood. He was awake but didn't move that much.
While the others were talking, she opened the box a little, just enough to see his whole figure.
"What the hell are you do-"
"Sh!" She looked right into his plum red eyes.
"He's...awake...".
———
"What."
"I- he was right behind me Muzan-sama-"
"Right behind you? If he was then why isn't he here Akaza?"
"..."
Muzan was furious, if the demon slayer corps had taken Tanjiro, then his hope would be lost. Since he was the only one that could walk underneath the sun, he would be able to find the blue spider lily.
'I can't kill him, he's to important for the missions, and he's one of the closest when it comes to Tanjiro. Damn it!'
"I want you to find him no matter what. Nakime will help you find the demon slayers headquarters. And don't even spare a single slayer that comes in your way. Am I clear?"
"Y-yes Muzan-sama..."
