Chapter 1

Tanjiro's POV

As I was walking up the path to my home, I felt someone's presence. At first I didn't mind it that much but the closer I got the weirder it sounded. It's kinda late, so who would come up the mountain at this time of day?

As I kept on walking I came across old man Saburo's house.

"Tanjiro! You shouldn't walk up the mountain now when it's dark".

I stared at him for a while. I know that old man Saburo lives alone, I was told that his family was deceased by an unknown reason. Tho Saburo told me that it was because of a man-eating demon. My grandma also told me that there lives man-eating creatures called demons. But to be honest I don't know what to think of it.

"I'm fine Saburo-san".
"Please Tanjiro, atleast just stay here until morning. The demons are out at night, and I don't want anything to happen".

I thought about it for a while, but just when I was gonna walk towards Saburo-san my face dropped.
I didn't have time to even utter a word. As the faint shouts of old man Saburo started to disappear, I came closer to my house. I could smell the fresh blood coming from higher up on the mountain, but the only one's living there was me and my family.

As I hurriedly ran up the path, I could see a glimpse of our house. As I closed in on where it was I stopped while trying to catch my breath. As I looked up to the house I saw the least thing I wanted to see.

There layed Nezuko, with Rokuta in a protective manner on the ground. My heart instantly dropped. I went a little closer to the house and looked through the empty opening on where the door used to be. I grabbed my haori hard near my chest.

My family had been slaughtered. Tears started to form in my eyes. Suddenly I felt that presence again. It had an intense aura, It sent a shiver down my spine by just thinking of who would have such aura.

I slowly turned my head, only to see a man with plum red eyes standing there. It was frightening.

???'s POV

As I walked up the mountain to the sun breathers house, I felt their presence getting stronger for every step I took. The house became visible to see as I wasn't that far away from it. I stopped right at the door and knocked. As I waited I could hear footsteps coming from the inside.

A boy opened the door and was shocked to see me. I didn't have time to talk or answer any stupid questions, so I just sliced his throat. The others in the household watched in fear. I quickly killed the others in the house. Tho one of them friend to escape with what seems like to be her little brother.

But they were too slow to even get outside of the house. I stared at them for a while.

'Filthy humans, they actually thought they could escape? What an embarrassment'.

But just when I were about to leave, I heard footsteps. Did I miss someone?

I then spotted a boy with burgundy hair and-
I stopped for a moment as I saw his earrings.

'Those earrings... he must be the successor of him.

I was about to kill the boy until a thought came up.

'Maybe I can make him into a demon and take this as an advantage?'

The boy turned his head slowly and looked at me right into my eyes. He had this nice dark red colored eyes. You could tell that he's special just by looking at them.

I grabbed him by the neck and lift him up. He was struggling to get out of my grip. I took my free hand and I served my nails into his head. He had an agonizing scream which was like music to my ears.

As soon as I dropped him to the ground, he screamed in pain for a bit until he eventually stopped. It was weird, most would scream in endless pain for a very long time. But he screamed for atleast a minute before he eventually fainted.

I picked the unconscious boy up bridal style.

"Nakime".

A door appeared out of nowhere right in front of me. I walked through it and it closed as soon as I was through.

"Nakime, prepare a room for our new guest". I ordered and she obeyed it by teleporting me in front of it.

I walked through the door with the boy in my arms. I carefully tucked him in the bed as I needed to do some paper work later.

I took a last glimpse at the still unconscious boy and chuckled a little bit before I closed the door.
