Gen's Story

~Elina's POV~

While they were battling i heard Gen telling his story.

"When i was young, i had no idea i was so weak. I thought my happy life would last forever. But it didn't.

One day, my family wasn't a family anymore. I thought that, if i was good boy, and achive all my parents expectations, evrything will go back to the way it was before. But it didn't. That was the first time i felt so powerless."

I wanted to jump in. Badly. But i think it's best if i just sit back for now. I need to know the complete reason of why he's doing all this. That way, i could help him afterwards.

I got my katana ready just in case Vanetta sees me. I kept my distance and listened to the next part of the story. Guren looked at him with pity.

"Save your pity for yourself and your friends. You'll need it more than i will." Said Gen, smirking. "And save it for the people living in the two worlds that are about to merge."

"What?! You'll really let that happen?" Said Guren in surprised.

"Yes i would!" Said Gen as he striked. "My world was taken from me! So i could care less about the planet's destruction! Somewhere deep inside you Guren, you know i'm right!"

"You're crazy!" Said Guren.

"Whatever, like i said, you wouldn't understand me!" Gen said as he striked again. "Lucky for you, i have more important things to do than to waste time here." The he ran off. I followed him throught the shadows and Bravenwolf ran right behind him.

My armour has supreme hearing powers so i can even hear what people are saying in their mind. You can say that i have telaphaty in my Syrenica form.

"You said i turned my back on the world Guren. No, the world turn it's back on me." I heard Gen said. "I accepted it. I lost my family, and one by one my friends. Elina stucked by me the longest but eventually she left too. I was alone."

That is NOT AT ALL true! I wanted to shout back at him. I didn't leave him! He misunderstood what i said! But... I guess i did kinda leave him. Even if it was just to follow Erica to collage. Gaaaah!!! I feel like i just did a mega big sin!

"Then one day, the Eurus appeared. You had your guardian, i had mine. He understood what i wanted. Not family or friends, but power. He offered me powers i never imagined. Most of all, he gave me the power of the Tenkai Dragon! And now, that promise is about to be fullfiled!"

"I don't think so Dromus!" Bravenwolf said.

"I'm here too!" I shouted.

"You should have stayed where you were!" Gen said.

"Hey Bravenwolf. Leave this to me alright?" I said to him.

"Huh? Uh... Alright." He left to find Tributon.

"Tch. Be honest Syrenica. You would be after the same thing i am if only you have the guts!" Wow, he actually stopped calling me with my real name. Was i really that wrong?

"No! What you did doesn't take guts! You're just letting out your anger on the rest of the world! That's the easy way out. I mean, do you really think my life was perfect?!"

"Of course it was! You have a lot of friends! Your family never left you, did they?!"

"Maybe not! But your wrong about the friends thing! The truth is, i never had any Gen! You were my first and only friend! I met a bunch of people before but they just used me and then they backstabed me! But you never did!"

"What...?"

"Gen, when i first went to grade school with you, i had no friends remember? When i transfered, you were the first to reach out to me. You stuck by me and i wanted to return the favor. But then, three years ago, i had to move with my sister who had to go to collage. If you'd listen than you aould have known that!"

"So now it's my fault?!"

"No! I'm saying it's my fault for not telling you sooner! I could have chosen to stay at my brother's place because he didn't come with us. But i didn't. I never thought of it at the time until now. So hate me if you want. You can stop being my friend if that's what you want. I wouldn't care. I just don't want other people to share the same pain i did. Can't you understand that?"

"........... Well-"

"What is going on here?" We looked up and saw Vilius.

"Oh..."

"Crud..."

"We're toast." i said. Then Vilius stole the key from Dromus and he manage to take control over the dragon.

"We are in big trouble." I said.

"Geez, you think?" Gen snapped.

"Sorry." We looked up and started to run when Vilius blasted at us.
