On the Run (Tenkai)

~Elina's POV~

"Ok. Stopping Vilius is one thing. But breaking into his fortress?! Are you out of your mind Dromus?!" I said as we get closer to the huge fort.

"Don't worry. We have each others' backs right?"

"Yeah but... I don't know. I'm just... really, really, really, really, really scared of this place."

"Hm. You're not the only one."

"Huh?"

"Over a thousand guards, four guardians and one villain master... And two idiots who for some reason are the commanders of the army."

"That last part kinda made me feel better."

"Good. Now, do you trust me?"

"... Yeah. Alright let's go in."

So we did. We sneaked past a bunch of guards and made it to Vilius' room without getting noticed.

Then we jumped down. "Vilius!" Dromus said. "Your trap setting days are over."

Then Granox and Slyger lunged at us. "Oh no you don't!" I said. I lunged at them. "Your opponent is me!"

Then Dromus was going to fight Vilius. I manage to hold them off but then Dromus decided to back off so we got out of there.

"Oh man, that was though." I said.

"Yeah..." Gen said panting.

"You ok?"

"Tired."

"What did you expect fighting off Vilius?"

"True. But that took out more Tenkai Energy than i thought. What about you?"

"I'm fine. Slyger and Granox aren't that much of a challenge."

"Alright, let's head back."

"Yeah, ok."

We did and turns out, Gen barely had enough energy to stand. "You sure you're ok?" I asked again.

"Fine."

"Well either way, i'm helping you get back." I helped him to the apartment he was staying in and i called my dad and told him I'll be staying there for the night. (DON'T YOU DARE THINK DIRTY ABOUT THIS!)

Once there, he started to get his energy back and then punch the glass window. "I failed!"

"Easy dude. You're worn out just a few minutes ago." I said, standing behind him.

"I can't go easy!" He shouted. Ok I've never seen him like this before.

"Uh... Um..." Great, now i'm getting paranoid again. Stupid fear. Is there anything you're not afraid off?

"Just calm down." I said. "We'll find a way. Like you said, we've got each others' backs."

He calms down a bit and nods. "Good." I said. "Come on, you're still tired. If you're really that desperate we can take all that anger out tomorrow at the Dojo."

"Yeah. Fine by me." He said.

The next day we went to the Dojo and i just watched Gen train on his own. The way he was acting, i do not want to be the one that gets hit.

Then, Guren showed up and trained with him. After that Guren commented that he could take on anyone and Gen just walked away leaving Guren confused.

"What was that about?" Asked Guren.

I sighed. "He... Had a though mission last night."

"Oh... How though?"
