*third person pov*
"Hey, Eliza, can I tell you something?" Kara asked. "Of course Kara, what is it?" Eliza replied. "Well there's this person. It's- I- it's a woman." Kara stated. "And what about this woman?" Eliza asked. "She's- she's amazing. And I am so, so crazy in love with her." Kara said and Eliza smiled. "Well, what is it about her that you love?" She asked. "Everything. I mean seriously, everything. She's my world, Eliza. I would literally do anything for her. She just- she's the person I want to spend the rest of my life with. I want kids with her, I want to grow old with her. I can't even explain it, she's just- she is everything to me." Kara finished, smiling wider than the sun. "I'm so proud of you for finding someone you truly love Kara. May I ask, who is this woman?" Eliza asked. Kara sighed, thinking that Eliza would disapprove of the fact that Lena is a Luthor. "Lena Luthor." Kara responded fiddling with her glasses. But, Eliza didn't shame her at all. "You fell in love with a powerful, independent woman. You chose right, Kara Danvers. I couldn't be more proud of you. Come here." Elize motioned for Kara to five her a hug.
They hugged for a few moments then Kara pulled away. "I appreciate you for being the mother figure that my mother could not. I love you so, so much Eliza!" Kara said. "I'm here anytime, anywhere, Kara. I will always be your shoulder to lean on." Eliza replied. Kara smiled at her and said, "Well. It's time for me to go check on my Lena. She's probably burned the house down. Did I forget to tell you we moved in together?" Kara said, and Eliza just smiled. "There was no way, by the way you talked about her, that you guys hadn't moved in together." She said. Kara put her face in her hands, blushing over the way she talked about Lena.
After a while, Kara left her moms hotel room, and made it to L- Corp to see Lena. She walked into her office and surprised her with roses. "Hi baby." She said giving Lena a peck on the cheek. "Hi darling. You got me flowers?" Lena said smiling. "I did. You deserve them." Kara smiled. "Thank you, I appreciate this. Today hasn't been the best without you." Lena said getting up and kissing Kara on the lips. "Mm. I missed this." Kara said in between kisses. As Kara and Lena pulled away, they heard a knock at the door. Kara went to see who it was, as if it was her office.
"Who... are you?" Kara said opening the door. "My name is Jack. Do you happen to know where Lena Luthor is?" He asked and Kara nodded. "She's right here?" Kara said confused as to why the man was there. As Jack walked in Lena said, "Jack? What are you doing here?" She asked. "Um I- I needed to see you." Jack said, and Lena squinted. "For?" She said walked over to him. "I... Damnit, Lena I still love you." He said. The room was silent, and Kara and Lena were confused. Kara didn't even know who the man was. Lena cleared her throat the break the silence, "Jack- uh, I don't love you... And i'm afraid I never have." Lena said trying to smile. Kara walked towards Lena. "Um, Lena who exactly is this?" Kara whispered. "Old co- worker." Lena replied.
Kara had no reason to be jealous, her and Lena were in a healthy relationship, Lena was a lesbian, and the man looked like a damsel in distress. "I'm sorry for the trouble i've caused here." He said clearing his throat and leaving. "Weird." Kara said, and Lena nodded. "You have everything ready for the new years party?" Kara asked Lena. "Yeah...." Lena said nervously. Kara sighed. "If this is about meeting my mom, she loves you!!" Kara said, attempting to comfort Lena. "And how do you know that?" Lena asked, unconvinced. "I told her. I told her about you. And I told her about how much love I have for you. Trust me, she loves you, baby." Kara replied, reassuring Lena. Lena nodded, and gave Kara a kiss.
Kara decided to spend the rest of the night with Alex. "So... care to give me more details on Ms. Luthor? Or should I say Mrs. Danvers?" Alex teased. "My goshh... Alex. We've only been together for a little under four months." Kara responded. "Yes, Kara. But you've been inlove with her for nearly a year. Who cares how long you two have been together, when you have forever to go?" Alex replied. Kara just sighed. "Look, you love her right?" Alex asked. "My god. I love her more than anything on this planet, Alex. She's my safe space." Kara replied. "Damn Kara, you're whipped. For 1, I used to be your safe space, and for two, you just admitted you love her more than potstickers." Alex said. "Oh... Uh? Maybe not as much as pot- yeah sure whatever helps you sleep at night." Kara responded with a fake smile. "I'm proud of you sis. I really, really am."
