"Kara! Are you ready yet?" Lena called for Kara, they had to get to the convention center downtown early since Lena was hosting the New Years party. "Yes! Coming." Kara responded approaching Lena. "Holy shit you look- hot." Kara said as she eyed Lena's outfit. "As do you, darling." Lena blushed. "Are you sure you aren't trying to get another girl at the party?" Kara asked smirking. "Oh trust me baby, I am all in with you." Lena replied back smiling, and Kara's heart sank into Lena's words.

Soon after, Lena and Kara left and made it to the convention center. "Wait no ones here yet?" Kara asked as they walked into their reserved room. "Kara, honey, i'm hosting this party so I chose to be here early." Lena responded, chuckling. "Oh, right. I knew that, I was just seeing if you knew." Kara said trying to play it off. Lena chuckled again.

Kara helped Lena do some finishing touches, and soon after people began to arrive. When Eliza arrived, me and Lena were the first to go and greet her. "Eliza, this is Lena." I said approaching her. "Hi! Lena, i've heard amazing things about you." Eliza said reaching out her hand. "I've heard even better things about you." Lena smiled. "Actually, I'd like to talk to you for a second." Lena said again. Then Kara walked away giving them time to get to know each other.

Then she spotted Sara and Ava. "Oh my gosh, Kara!" Sara greeted Kara. "Hey guys! I've missed you, i've been waiting for an invite to the wedding for me and Lee but I haven't seemed to get one yet." Kara said. "We decided to postpone the wedding." Ava said.

"Oh! Why?" Kara said being slightly nosey. "Someone... got pregnant." Ava replied, and Kara looked between the two. "Sara!!! Oh my gosh, really?!" Kara squealed. "Yes!! I know right. We want to wait until after the baby is born, but I also can't wait to be married to this one." Sara said. "Oh! Oh! Let me see the ring!!!" Kara said to Ava. Ava let Kara see her hand and Kara said, "This is beautiful." "Thank you, Kara!" Ava said. "So..." Sara began. Kara squinted. "You and Lena, you guys are official, official now!" Sara continued.

Kara smiled at the thought of Lena. "Yes. Yes we are. And guys I have got to tell you, I've never been more happier in my entire life. That woman was truly made for me." Kara said. Sara and Ava both smiled at Kara's rambling about her girlfriend. Then Lena walked up. "Hey guys!"
"Hey Lena! We were just talking about you." Sara said. "Oh really, were you?" Lena smirked. "Don't worry baby, it was only good things." Kara said chuckling. "I know darling. Come dance with me." Lena said, her and Kara began to walk off. Then a velvet box fell out of Kara's suit. Ava immediately went to pick it up assuming it would be bad if Lena or anyone else saw it.

"Holy crap! Kara's going to purpose." Sara whisper- yelled to her fiancé. "I know!! What are we supposed to do with this? We can't just call her over and give it back, Lena will be suspicious. Damnit." Ava replied panicking. "Just wait until we get her alone, like if Lena has to go to the bathroom." Sara suggested and Ava nodded.

Lena and Kara danced together like they were the only people in the world. If anyone looked at them, you could tell more than anything that they were inlove. Then, an announcement went off saying it was 11:45; 15 minutes until the new year. "Hey Kara, i'll be right back i'm going to the restroom." Lena said. "Okay baby don't be long." Kara said and smiled.

Then Ava called Kara over to her and Sara. As Kara approached them, she noticed they look worried. "Guys what's wrong?" Kara asked. "You dropped something..." Ava said pulling the velvet box from her pocket. "Holy shit!" Kara whisper-yelled, and hurriedly grabbed the box, sliding it into her pocket. "Uh- Yeah! I can't believe you dropped it." Sara whisper- yelled. "Me niether! You guys are live savers, im so glad you're here!" Kara replied. "So.. is this the reason why you invited ALL of your friends, even the ones from different earths...?" Ava sarcasticly asked. Kara laughed and said, "Yes Ms. Sharpe, yes, it is."
"I'm so proud of you Kara Danvers." Sara said grinning. "I'm proud of me too." Kara sarcasticly replied, and they all laughed.

It was now 11:56, and everyone was gathering around in a circle, and getting their glasses in hand ready to do a toast. Karas palms were getting sweaty, and Alex walked up and rubbed her back, knowing what events would take place in the next few seconds.

Then Kara and Lena stood next to each other. Kara realized it was time for her to pop the question. She got down on one knee, looking up at Lena and taking out the velvet box. And soon enough, everyones eyes were on them.

Kara smiled as she looked up at Lena, trying to read her facial expressions. "Lena Luthor, I believe that since you walked into my life- or since I walked into your office- I have been the happiest that I have ever been. There is a hole in my heart that you fill, and I promise to always protect you and keep you safe. Will you marry me?" Kara said in one breath. Lena looked shocked.

"Well... I think my answer is..." Lena said as she took out a black box and got on one knee, "Yes." She responded. "Yes, Kara Danvers, I will marry you." She said and everyone began to clap, a few tears fell from Alex, Eliza, Kara, and Lena's eyes. Before Kara and Lena could kiss, the countdown began, "3! 2! 1! Happy New year!!!" Everyone yelled. Kara and Lena kissed, in honor of the new year and their engagement. All of the other couples in the room kissed, including Alex and Maggie, and Sara and Ava.

"I can't believe we both got rings!!" Kara pointed out. "I guess we were both ready to spend the rest of our lives with each other." Lena replied smiling the widest smile she ever has. "I love you Lena, more then you'll ever know. And I am so incredibly glad that I get to walk into the new year with you." Then they got ready to make the toast. "Thank you everyone for coming, we will make the toast now." Lena announced.

"This is to my engagement, to life, to love, and to the New Year."
