“Teacher, what is 7 times 6?”
I smiled at the little boy who was holding his notebook tightly. “Just plus seven 6 times.” I patted his head.
Dapat magpapakilala siya pero yun ang sinabi niya sa harap ng kanyang kaklase. “I’m sorry young boy, but you need to introduce yourself to your classmate.” I stand beside him, I can sense that he’s nervous because his hands were trembling so, I kneeled down to get in his eye level.
“Don’t worry, we don’t bite!” my students barked while laughing. He was a transferred student so he’s new to the environment.
“I am John Adryan Dixon, your teacher for the whole year.”
I shake his little hands while smiling. His chubby cheeks make him more cute!
I made him look up in front of the students. He took a deep breath while I stood at the corner to see his expression.
“Hello Everyone! I’m Evan Lance Adair Dela Cruz. I’m 6 years old. Glad to meet you all! Please take care of me.” he said then clapped, the other students joined him but I still remained shocked.

“What’s your mom and dad’s occupation, sweetheart?” I asked. He immediately smiled as I mentioned that.
“My mom is a Fashion Designer! She owns a luxury brand! Then my Father is a doctor and an actor in his early 20s! but sadly he resigned because he wants to take care of my mom.” Ah yes, Si Adrian pa.
Pinaupo ko na sila at nagsimula na akong nagturo.
After 6 years, naging teacher na ako ng mga batang to. I changed my destiny.

Hindi ko na rin kinakausap ang Tita ko pati si Mika. I made things better when I’m alone. I accept this fate of being alone.
“Teacher John, do you have a child?” I almost spilled my coffee on their drawings.
“I think Teacher has a wife because he’s old now.” I’m totally in shock right now. Did they say that I was old? Emotional Damage.
“I’m sorry children but I don’t have a child nor a girlfriend. Your Teacher is proud and single.” I said to them, sipping my coffee again.
“I think the teacher is sad that he’s single.” Again, I almost spilled my coffee on their papers.
Ano ba ang pinagtuturo ng mga parents nila sa kanila?
“Dad said that if you loved someone you would wait for her!” Evan walks in the front, it looks like he’s protecting me from his innocent classmates.
“Teacher is just waiting for someone he loves!” he shouted again. He looked at me and hugged me in my stomach because I was too tall for him.
“Teacher, if you're sad, Daddy can cure you!” he gave me a card. Oh, it's Adrian's face and number. Looks like Evan needs to give this to somebody when he’s lost or something.
Inilagay ko ‘yung card sa pocket ng polo niya, patted his head and smiled at everyone.
“My loved one loves someone else,”
That’s your mom, who doesn’t even remember me.
His eyes became teary and I panicked. Then everyone started sobbing! Omg, I immediately panicked when I heard the door open. Please not the principal.
“Evan?” The boy ran to her mom, crying.

“What the?” he noticed my students crying. “Daddy, Teacher is single!” Evan shouted while crying into her Mom’s arms.
She looks mature right now, I guess she’s pregnant because her tummy is big. “Good afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Dela Cruz, I’m just talking about my love life. I didn’t expect them to react like this.”
Adrian tried not to laugh and say something about the past. “I’m sorry Mr. Dixon, I think they’re being pitiful for you.” Leanna said. Am I that pitiful?
Nagsidatingan na ang mga parents ng mga bata since uwian na. Afternoon class kasi ang tinuturo ko. “Teacher, made sure you will have a wife or you will live alone!”
Why the heck is this kid scolding me? Oh right, he has Leanna’s genes. Totally mother and son.
“Yeah, I will find a woman okay?” I patted his head and made an eye contact with Adrian. Binuhat niya ang bata habang inaayos at tinitingnan ni Leanna ang bag ni Evan.
“I think this is the first time we met right?” She smiled at me and offered her hand to have a peaceful shake.
First time? No.
“Yeah, the first time. Nice to meet you Mrs. Dela Cruz.” I shake her hand. I can sense I was trembling while doing the hand shake.
