CHAPTER 20

“Good morning Ma’am!” 

I walked over the hallways with a plastered smile on my face. Another successful collaboration has just ended.

I stand in the center of the company where everyone can see me. “Everyone! Attention!” I clapped twice to gain attention, then a lot of eyes were watching me. I felt pressured but they are sincere and precious to me.

“The Adair Company just topped the 1st Luxury Brand!” I screamed with happiness. Ito ang aming pinapangarap namin sa simula pa lang.

Everyone was crying and hugging. I felt so happy. The hard work just paid off. “I appreciate you all! Thank you for your service. I am so proud of you all!”

I assigned all of them to have a break for 3 weeks since me and the gang are going to France.

“Oh my gosh! France?!” Abi cried with happiness while hugging Dean. He will treat us to France alongside John. I knew that this would happen.

“Anong dream place ni Abigail?” Dean casually barged on my office with his iconic messy hair and specs, holding a blueprint. “Bakit gusto mong malaman?”

“Basta, sagutin mo tanong ko.”  I sighed knowing he would disturb me until I died if I didn’t say what he wanted. “France. Paris. Basta nasa Europe.”

“It’s my dream to go there!” Abi is still crying on Dean’s chest. I still remember her saying that she badly wanted to see the Eiffel tower for years. I'm glad Dean came to her life to give her everything she wants.

“Hakdog ang init.” Na eto na naman kami. Sa airport na naman. Lagi kaming gala ng gala. Magkaparehas na naman ang aming damit para hindi mahalata na kasama namin si John. We decided to wear a hoodie and we regret it so much.

“Sabi ng balita uulan ngayon at malamig pero parang natutunaw na ako sa init.” Dean said while fixing his cap. It is indeed hot ngunit kakayanin.

After one hour, nasa loob na rin kami ng eroplano. Si Dean naman kasi ang may-ari ng eroplano na ito kaya kami lang ang tao. Merong bar, kama at iba pa. I have mistaken this airplane for a home.

Abigail was sleeping so soundly beside Dean who is working on his laptop. Lia and Lucas were exploring the airplane and decided to eat a snack at the bar. Me and John are playing UNO.

“Damn, you will lose!” John excitedly put down his +2 card, sadly he didn’t know I owned the four +4 and three +2. “Sure ka ba?” binaba ko na lahat ang aking baraha.

John lost again. “Freak, how are you so good at it!” he faked crying and fixed the cards again. When I am playing with Abi and the others I feel bored because I win so easily but when I play with John it feels like 4 games are not enough.

“Do you want to stop now?” I asked him since I noticed he was tired. “Hmm, yeah. I want to sleep.” He was straightforward.

He picked up the cards and decided to sleep on the 2nd bed that is not occupied. I walked over to Lia and Lucs, they looked at me with such wide eyes. May na-discover ata silang maganda.

“Look at this desert. It is called halo-halo. It has beans, ice, ube, banana and others.” Lia handed me one. I laughed at their reactions, they can’t taste something like this because our parents are strict when it comes to food but I’m glad we survived that kind of household but Lia has an eating disorder.

“But look at this Lea, it is called taho.” He handed me the desert to my other hand. “It is amazing.” The staff smiled when they complimented their work.
