It's wonderful to see my son so happy. We are cleaning up but I honestly think Ivory has forgotten that we are here. It's been hours since Brad and I got here. She doesn't look like she's cleaning, it looks like she's dancing with the mop as she sings. Brad and Horatiu are standing by me as we watch her, "She looks like she's having fun." I nod at Brad's words she sure does. She reminds me of a child dancing with her father.
"She gave me a Mythology lesson before you two showed up. She really likes Greek Myth and I think it's very intriguing. I think it's more than her just liking it though. She has so many attributes of the Gods and Goddesses, I think she looks to them for her power and wisdom."
My son is intelligent but he shouldn't attempt to deduce this woman. Ivory isn't made to be deduced, she is a mystery that you have to allow it to unravel itself, "That may be true, she does have the grace, power, and stealth of Artemis, the beauty of Aphrodite, and the wisdom of Athena. She has the authority of Hera and Zeus, the ability to move between the worlds of life and death as Hades does, the ability to craft armor and weapons like Hephaestus, and she would be a wonderful mother like Demeter."
Horatiu nods and watches Ivory with complete adoration, "Didn't Hades kidnap her daughter though?"
"Yes, but no matter what Demeter tries to make her daughter happy even if that means not seeing her for six months every year."
"She looks so peaceful," I knew he wasn't fully listening to me. Ivory is far more interesting and important to him. "Though, I don't understand how she can enjoy cleaning."
I open my mouth but Brad speaks first, "I don't think it's the cleaning she enjoys but more of the fact that she can forget her duties and responsibilities for a short time." I nod in agreement, that certainly sounds like it.
"Yeah, I think you're right. She can make her own reality where she doesn't know about the supernatural and just forget for a few minutes." I smile maybe he knows more about her than I thought.
"Hey you should go dance with her."
He shakes his head, "She doesn't like dancing." Hmm I thought all women like to dance... well it is Ivory we are talking about. She might be in the mood to dance now that she is dancing by herself.
"Hey Ivory!" Ivory stops and spins around to face Brad.
"Yes Chanler?" Oh that's going to make him mad. I suppose he doesn't care if it is only her that calls him by his last name.
"Want to dance?" She raises a brow as he walks closer to her and I watch Horatiu glare at him.
"I don't dance." Maybe she really doesn't like dancing. She looks at Horatiu and I know she sees the relief on his face because she smirks and takes Brad's outstretched hand. "But I can make an exception for the beta."
