Death is Not the End(Second to "To Kiss or to Kill".)

Chapter X~Raja~

        Ring! Ring! I slowly open my eyes, pulling out my phone I look at the time 3:27 am. Why is someone calling me at this time?

         "Hello?"
        "Hello, my Night Flower."
        Only one person has ever called me that and the voice there's no mistaking it, "Can I help you?"
        It can't be him but... if it is.... "Could you come and open the gate for me?"
        I push myself off the ground and begin walking to the gate. "I'll be there in a moment."         Hanging up I get closer to the gate. When I see who's standing there I throw the gate open. The man pulls me into a tight embrace. I burry my face in the crook of his neck, warm salty tears run down my face. He strokes my hair soothingly, much like he did so long ago when he stayed by my side day and night. I pull away from the embrace. I just stare at his face, it really is him. "I can't believe you're back." My voice comes out barely audible but I know he heard me.
        He smiles at me as I wipe away my tears, "I couldn't stay gone forever."
        I throw my arms around his neck and he places his around my waist, as I hide my face I whisper one request, "Don't ever leave me again." My voice cracks as I try not to cry. I know that in my voice he can hear the pain and happiness, the turmoil and the peace. This man has put me through hell and I've done just the same but I am so happy to have him back here with me.
        "I wouldn't dream of it. We should get to the castle I'm feeling someone in distress."
        We pull away from the embrace and as we walk he places his arm around my waist. After his death I finally admitted to myself that I love him but now that he's here I don't know if I can tell him. As we reach the door I pull away from him. As I open it I am tackled by a sobbing Sarah.
I pull her close to my body. She hides her face in my chest as I rub her back, "What's wrong, baby?"
        She continues clinging to me as if I will disappear any moment but her sobs have ceased. "I had a nightmare and you died."
        "I have something that will get rid of those nightmares."
        She lifts her tear stained face to look at me,"Really?"
        "Yes." I grab Raja's arm, yanking him down beside me.
        Sarah looks at him for a second before her face lights up."DADDY!!!!" She tackles him and he clings to her.
        "You can't be my little Sarah. You've grown too much." He looks at me, his disbelief evident, and I just nod. She has grown so much since his passing. "I think Ivory wants you in bed."
        "Can you and mommy tuck me in?"
        "Of course, princess." Standing Raja and I walk past Horatiu, Jax, and Brian to Sarah's room.
Raja places Sarah on her bed, placing the covers over her he kisses her cheek. "Goodnight, I love you, my little princess."
        "I love you too daddy."
        He walks out of the room but I know he's standing right outside waiting with the others.      Listening to everything we say. "Goodnight, honey."
        I go to stand but the words that leave Sarah's mouth are enough to make me freeze, "Do you love daddy?"
        I turn to look at her, unsure of how to answer. I have always told her the truth and nothing less so I am not about to start lying to her now. "Yes."
        "Are you going to marry him?"
        "I hardly think he feels the same. I'm sure he has someone else he wants to marry."
        She pouts, her lower lip trembles, "But I don't want a different mommy, I want you to be my mom!"
        With a sigh I brush her hair out of her face, "Your father and I need to get to know each other again and if we decide that we feel the same about each other you'll be the first to know, I promise."
        "Thank you momma!!!" She hugs my waist tightly and I quickly wrap my arms around her smaller frame as well.
        "Of course dear." I place the covers over her again and kiss her head."I love you, now get some rest."
        Yawning with her eyes half open and a sleepy voice she responds, "I love you too mommy."
        I silently walk out of the room closing the door. "So you're the one thing you said you could never be."
        I look at Raja. What on earth is he talking about? "I beg your pardon."
        "You're a mother."
        "She became my ward in your absence, that's all."
        "Mhm believe what you want but all four of us have just witnessed you as a mother."
        "Anyway, I'm going to bed." We all depart and as I'm walking to my room I think about how I always wanted a family and I'm halfway there. I love Sarah and I will do anything for her. It doesn't matter that's she's not biologically mine I still see her as my daughter. No cut that out! She's your ward nothing else! I lay down on my bed and that was that I fell asleep instantly.
