        "Ivory....Ivory....wake up."

Someone is shaking my shoulder but I roll over ignoring the person. I don't want to get up just yet. "...five more minutes."

"It's one in the afternoon you need to get up."

I sit up at that, "Why would you let me sleep that long? There are things I need to get done."

I rub my eyes and see Raja sitting on the edge of the bed, "Well, I was planning on letting you sleep all day but the priests are here."

"Okay, okay I'm up. Please tell them I will be down in a moment. Is everyone out of the walls?"

"Yes, the city has been evacuated for the blessing."

"Good." Raja nods and leaves the room. Sighing I swing my legs over the side of the bed. Resting my elbows on my knees and my head in my hands I take deep breaths to wash away the nausea. Slowly I stand and make my way to the closet choosing, a floor length black skirt, a black tank-top that I tuck into the skirt, a black suit jacket, black heels, and some accessories. Before heading down stairs I look at my stomach in the mirror, how could he have known? I'm not showing any signs of pregnancy other than irritability but I've always had that as a problem. With a sigh I head downstairs, "My apologies, I understand that tardiness is unacceptable." I bow to the three priests with a slight smile playing on my lips.

"Oh it is really no problem, miss." The first priest shakes his head smiling at me the whole while.

"Would you like tea before you begin the blessing of the sanctuary." I walk over to the pot of heated water and tea leaves as I speak, my back facing the priests.

        "That would be very nice."

I bring the tray of refreshments over, "Please, take a seat." As I pour the tea and prepare the cups I take a good look at the three, "I thank you all for coming out here but I must ask one of you to stay here in the castle until the blessing is through."

All but one looks puzzled, "Is there a problem, miss?"

"Not really, it's only that one of you is a hemophage and if a hemophage were to bless the grounds it would allow the ones I seek to keep out in."

The one I have pinned as a hemophage nods, "I'm sorry, miss."

"There is no need to apologize for what you are. I simply wish to keep the humans and lycan safe from the enemies, it pains me to say that I must keep hemophages out of the city."

The hemophage cocks his head to the side, "Why?"

"Well...I am part hemophage and I am sending my family to the sanctuary...." I look down with sadness in my heart.
