naoya zen'in

"Naoya?" Kayo had woken up just to see Naoya gone again. As always.

A few months had passed peacefully since they first moved to Kayo's residence. The date of Naoya's "exam" came closer and closer. Day by day he woke up earlier than her, going out and coming home late at night. He told Kayo that he was gone to train but every sunday, when they had planned to fight each other, Naoya had always lost and neither did Kayo feel any change in his type of fighting.

During those few months Kayo and Naoya were close, not as close as you'd expect husband and wife to be but it was close on their terms. Physical contact was... rare. Smiles were exchanged from time to time which also faded away once Naoya started to see her less. They did feel deep things for each other but neither of them was capable of portraying those, not wanting to get hurt.

After Kayo had eaten something and prayed at the small shrine, she took her way to follow Naoya. Planted was a small cursed tool in his kimono, which she was able to trace. She knew that they weren't close and that she would've wanted her own privacy too if it weren't for the fact that he was straight up lying to her. She didn't want to accuse him of anything but the patterns were the patterns of a cheater, it was obvious. Although she could care less, although their marriage was arranged and against both of their wills, although she knew she was hard to deal with, she hoped that he wasn't cheating. She hoped that there was at least one ounce of care in his heart for her.

"He's related to Toji after all, what else should i even expect." She smiled when her eyes finally met a shrine. "Oh lord." Kayo took a deep breath and entered through the gates. "I-Ieiri-sama?" Kayo was disgusted by the usage of her name but kept looking at the group of shrine maidens that saw her. "You are?" "We're just shrine maidens, working. We didn't expect to see you here." Kayo's eyes traced the group as she saw some of the maidens leaving. She put the most fakest smile on, showing her boredom and went away to follow the maiden that was headed to a certain way with her head lowered. Kayo's arm swung around her, "Hey." She was now smiling at the girl, who was looking rather terrified. "Oh god, did that bitchass husband of mine really tell people I was scary? While he's a motherfucking dickhead? God." She now stared into the girl's soul, "What way?" Kayo followed the girl's directions with a sheepish smirk on her face. She didn't even know herself but this felt rather amusing to her.

"Naoya?" She said before trying to open the door. The door was... locked. "Of course it's locked. What was I thinking." She cracked the lock thanks to one of her weapons, opening the door to reveal nothing but clothes. "He couldn't have been more obvious, could he have? No but do I really wanna see two adults sucking each other off?" She rolled her eyes and walked to the sounds she was hearing. "Everything to teach him a little bit of human decency I guess."

The opening of the door led to loud screams of both women and a loud "FUCK" from Naoya. Though the scream of the shrine maiden was hysterical, Kayo's was more like... laughter? She was now trying to get a grip of the door to keep her laughter in, suffering from the lack of air she could see Naoya's red face. "Naoya fucking Zenin-" she was trying to finish her words as she pulled her phone out and took a picture "You're a fucking bottom?" The view of Naoya being a bottom was engraved in her brain as well as her phone's camera roll and soon also everyone else's.

Before the two could change their positions Kayo did cast her domain to get Toji to where she was. She had promised to never do it again but the moment? Yeah, this moment was worth it. "Kayo I thought we agree-" At the same moment he saw the situation and showed the same expressions as her.

After half an hour of comedy, she took Naoya's collar and dragged him outside with a wave and smile, "I'm sorry you needed to keep up with him, really! I hope he didn't bother you but now he really has to get home." Naoya pushed her hand away only to get a death glare as a response, leaving him frozen and obeying. She changed her expression quickly into a smile until they got out of the place.

As they stepped outside near the forrest, Naoya commented on her behavior, "God, I'm starting to think that you really might be bipolar-" She swung him around and let him fall down, "What the FUCK were you thinking?" She knew that this would've been the outcome but why was she mad, mad like this? Her eyes were glowing but not the positive type. They were full of bloodlust and close to turning full on red but the way Naoya was, he provoked her.

"No. What the FUCK do you mean? I'm a man, Kayo. I need to follow my instincts. I felt like fucking someone and I found that someone. I'm sorry if you're upset but you could've just told me if you wanted me to fuck you."

"You motherfucker." She took a deep breath, "I don't care about your goddamn instincts and don't act like you don't have a fucking brain. You ain't no dog to follow your instincts. You can decide for yourself. Goddamn we're MARRIED. It was against my will and it was against yours too but it's the way it is right now. Do you think I wanted to live the past few months like a maiden without properly conversing with you or touching you? You know I'm a fool for thinking you could change." Her heart was beating so fast and her head was aching, she was in no control of what she was saying, the words just came out of her mouth.

"If you wanted to fuck someone so badly maybe you could've turned to your wife first? I could care less about the cheating but the respect you've shown me? I brought you to a place which was special to me, I decided to spend the rest of my life with you goddamn Zenin don't you see that I care for you? I don't want you to be loyal, I don't expect you to love or even like me but you can at least respect me. I wanted you to get better and I wanted you to improve so that you could achieve what you've been working for but that's how you show me that you care?" She sighed.

"Can't you see that I love you Naoya?" She fell down on her knees with those words, tears were covering her whole face. Her energy was gone, she was unable to move. Her head was aching too much to even be able to think.

Naoya needed a moment to process how much he had fucked up this time. He lowered his stance to hold her face. She wasn't even looking at him as she put her arms around him into a hug. He held her legs to lift her up on his chest so that they could go home. Her head was on his shoulder as she whispered multiple things,

"I hate you Zenin. I despise you so much, I can't even stand to look at you but something about you just makes me want to stay in your arms forever and do you know how I feel about that? I hate it."

"I'm so sorry. I'm genuinely sorry. I don't even think you'll forgive me but I'm incredibly sorry." A tear rolled down his face as he looked over at her to see her fast asleep or so he thought.
