VIXEN SCOTT
"VIXEN!! UP!! NOW!!! "
I heard Cian yell from the upstairs hallway. I sat up, sighed and went back to bed. There's no way I can be up at 06 00 Am in the morning.No Sooner did I get comfortable than Cian burst into my room and pulled my beddings away, "I'm pretty sure I woke you up. " Cian said in a serious tone. I rolled over, looked up at him and laughed, "Me? Up? Now?!" I asked in between laughs and continued to laugh a bit more. This usually happens a lot.
I could tell Cian was getting more and more irritated by my psychotic behavior so I stopped laughing and wiped a tear away, "Okay." I said as I got out of bed. I stretched out my arms when I noticed Cian had turned to face my closet. "I'll be down stairs. Hurry or I'll be late for work." He said, sounding a little embarrassed and quickly found his way out of the room. What's his problem? Anyway, moving on.
I walked to my closet by passing my full body mirror when I realized something. I took two steps back and saw my reflection. My long brown curly hair was in a hot mess. I had bags developing under my turquoise eyes and most importantly, I only had a vest on in my underwear.
"Why didn't you say so? " I questioned out loud as I picked an outfit. I took a quick shower and got dressed and found my way down stairs. "All ready!" I said grabbing an apple from the kitchen, walking behind Cian as we made our way to the car. Cian got in and so did I.
"Can't you take care of yourself for once?" Cian asked as I closed e door. "What's wrong with how I look? " I answered with another question as I scanned myself one more time. I pulled down the visor and looked at myself in the tiny mirror.
My hair was still in the mess I left it in, I was in a baggy grey T-shirt and black sweat pants in grey socks and black sneakers. Cian just sighed as he started the car, "boys."

We arrived at the psychiatrist's office and it was already 07 30Am. "Call me when you're done, a'ight" Cian said leaving me at the door of the building. Oh Kayy. I walked in and greeted them receptionist, "Hey Karen." I said, surprisingly quite lowly, "Is Dr. Prishen in?" I asked in a deep voice. Karen, looking quite agitated, continued typing away on the keyboard, "Yes." She answered flatly. Without wasting time, I started to make my way to her office...
"Vixen, take a seat." Dr. Prishen said so I closed the door and did as I was told. "I still don't understand why I come here." I stated flatly as I started to get comfortable. "You'll only understand if you continue coming here." She responded in the same tone, "what did the doctors say this time? " she asked in a more welcoming tone while she took out her note pad, crossing her legs, indicating that she was ready to take notes.
"The medication was reducing my androgen levels but it stopped working. They said there was nothing else they could do. Something about 'my body continuously producing the hormone...not responding to the androgen receptors anymore... Blah blah blah... " I stated already getting board of myself.
All my life, it's been the same story;
'You should act more like a girl... ' 'you're insane... ' 'you need help.. ' 'could you be normal for once? '
It's crazy really. When I was younger, all I wanted to do was play with the guys and roll in the dirt with my toy cars and nurf guns but my mum too ok me to the hospital and the doctors ean some tests.They told me that my body produces excess androgen and I started taking medication for it when I was only three years of age.
Dr. Prishen sighed, "why don't we assign you someone?" She questioned in a way that soundes more like a statement. Like we hadn't been through this already.
The medication worked for the next three years at that time but it might've worked a little too well. So they cut me off the meds for a while and because I was too much of a girl, Dr. Prishen prescribed me a best friend. Since then, Terry and I have been inseparable.
"Assign? As in, prescribe me another best friend?" I questioned not thinking it would end well. Terry just brings out he boy in me. If I get another best friend, a female for that matter, Terry and I would just convert her.
"Not exactly," Dr. Prishen continued, "I want to assign you a boyfriend. " "what?! " I thought out loud, she's really gonna give me a boyfriend, "You're giving me a.... Boyfriend?? " I asked, bringing my thoughts to reality. "Yes." Dr. Prishen stated calmly like it was nothing serious. She took out her phone and showed me a picture,"This is Cyrus. " I leaned forward to get a closer look.
I can't lie. Cyrus didn't look so bad. He had light grey eyes, which almost looked mysterious. Even though he had a loose long sleeves shirt on he still looked quite masculine. Could he be as tall and as masculine as Saviour? I wonder... Wait, why am I even thinking about this. I laughed at myself a little. Dr. Prishen put away her phone and I relaxed in my seat, "Okay, " I agreed, "sounds like a plan. "
