[the aftermath of it all]𖠰𖠰𖠰
I woke up relatively early and decided today I was resting, I was having a chill day to mentally prepare myself for tonight. The lack of moonlight and the full moon from when I was in captivity had lowered my confidence in my control but the work I've done since then made me feel like my body was ready, I was still wary but ready nonetheless.
I got up and showered, swiftly dodging my reflection in the mirror before grabbing a pair of brown baggy joggers, a black top and a matching brown zipper hoodie - all oversize in one way or another so that I had maximum warmth and comfort. I threw my hair up in a bun and jumped back on my bed before grabbing my laptop and phone to get comfy. I had a snack drawer in my room that was constantly filled with treat for times like these so I opened that and grabbed a few favourites.
First I went to see if I had any school work to do, there wasn't much since it was coming up to the end of the school year anyways. I'd emailed that I'd gotten horribly sick and that was why I missed the few assignments I had when I was being relentlessly thrown around by some overpowered alphas. Of course they sent follow-up tasks for me to do which I had done and sent back already, now all there was left to do were a few reading and answering tasks; those only took about an hour and a half to do and send off.
I finished up the email and sent it only to go straight to Netflix and pick up where I left of on one of my favourite shows, while it was loading I check my phone to see Stiles had called me and left a voicemail when I was sleeping, I quickly opened it and paused the show.
"I just want to phone you real quick before Lydia's party, I know you can control the shift but I still want to make sure you're safe and alright because now that I know you listen to these- just, take care Ryn." The message was short so I assumed he was busy, I wondered what he was doing - partying didn't seem like a Stiles hobby, looking out for Scott seemed more like it.
I was just pondering when I felt my phone ring and saw that Lydia was video calling me, I picked up to be faced with a bunch of clothes, "I need help picking what to where and when to wear it..." I chuckled as she continued to explain.
The next hour was filled with Lydia and I going back and forth on what to wear, "then just wear the blue dress?" I said like it was a matter of fact and not opinion, "but I want to wear that as an evening dress, I can't wear the dress twice in one day Ryn. Pink or silver?" I rolled my eyes before chuckling, "Pink, it goes well with your skin tone." I stated.
"Everything goes well with my skin tone but thank you anyways." I laughed at her antics, "I need to get ready, when are you planning on coming back?" She asked, the camera now facing her as she started to curl her hair, "soon Lyds, soon." She smiled before blowing me a kiss and waving goodbye, I waved back and smiled, now I could watch the show. I didn't mind my daily calls with Lydia in fact I loved them but I also loved Netflix and given the choice of what to do with my spare time on my relaxation day, I'd choose Netflix.
