Dereks car, on the road to Beacon Hills
"So..." I began to speak as I sat sideways in the passenger seat of his car, "Beacon Hills? Are you sure that's where she was?" He let out a sigh and kept his eyes on the road. It was early morning and the amount of cars driving beside us were sparse so Derek could drive slightly faster than allowed.
"Yes, I'm sure she was looking for the Alpha there, or atleast that's what she told me the last time we spoke... which was, three months ago." His tone softened at the end of his sentence, Laura gave us monthly updates and kept us in the loop of her search so when she hadn't contacted us in three months we started to worry.
"Derek," I leant over and placed my hand on his - now very tense - shoulder, "I'm not going to try and get your hopes up but maybe she got caught up with hunters and had to go into hiding? If the alpha is there then she'd have to be careful anyway." He seemed to relax slightly at my words but he still kept up the fast driving.
I took my hand off his shoulder so I could fish out my phone, I text Laura again in hopes that she'd text back before we got to Beacon Hills. I decided that I'd get in some well deserved rest before getting there so I lay my head against the window and swivelled my body round into a more comfortable position and let sleep take me over.
The walls around me seemed to be closing in and a spotlight was shining on the scene in front of me, there was a man and woman that I didn't recognise standing in clear water. I watched as it slowly turned red around them and as their faces became scared, terrified at what was happening. They had gotten closer to each other, the man placed his arms around the woman and she was cradled into her chest.
The woman had begun screaming and the man was whimpering, both were crying their hearts out. It was the man first, that looked up at me. I couldn't remember them, I didn't know who they were so all I could do was stand and stare, I didn't feel anything.
I felt a presence behind me and whipped my head around to see a stone wall making its way towards me so I began stepping back, I hadn't realised how far back I was walking until I felt the water around my knees and a tug on my hand. When I turned back around to the couple the man was still looking at me and the woman was still looking at the water. His face had claw marks on it and his features alone looked old and worn down, his eyes though, his eyes seemed familiar. I watched as he tried to speak but all that came from his mouth was blood.
The woman, who I hadn't realised had stopped screaming, made a noise as she looked up at me, her face just as old and worn down as the mans also just as beat up. She however removed her arms from her chest and placed her hands on my face, they were warm, though they were wet, sticky. I watched horrified as she removed them from my face and saw them covered in red, deep red blood. I tried to speak but nothing came out. The woman looked down her her stomach and so did the man, their stomachs were torn open, guts had been put out of display and insides had become outsides, they both looked up with smiles on their faces, I saw for the first time how dead they actaully looked, the bruises on their skin became visible and the cuts begun to bleed, spitting out any chance of survival.
