Warnings: physical beatings/abuse
Scotland innit
I didn't know how long it had been but it had been long enough for my wounds to heal from the constant beatings I'd gotten from Kali and for the floor to become somewhat comfy. While lying on the floor I'd analysed the room I was locked in about 100 times- though I wouldn't call it a room more than I'd call it a cell.
The only light I had was a small dull light coming from outside the cells gated way out and small cracks in the walls that allowed the smallest bit of light in through them; though not enough for it to help me shift in anyway, just enough to let me know that it had been a couple days at least.
Shifting - originally - was my plan of escape but I was too weak to do it without the moonlights help. I'd figured out what they were doing, they were starving me. I heal fast so physical wounds wouldn't do much so instead they were tearing my wolf side away from my human side, starving me from strength.
My phone was still lying out the gate and well out of my reach. I traced a small sad face into the ash next to where I sat; in the furthest, darkest back corner of the cell. I couldn't find the motivation to move from the spot so I just sat there, even when it hurt to sit the only think I'd move was my hand so I could draw small patterns into the dirt and ash.
I could faintly hear someone walking toward the cell but I didn't want to look up, I didn't care anymore.
"You could be a strong alpha Oryn Cross." I recognised the voice, it was the old man; Deucalion. I sighed and moved my eyes to find his face so I could glare at the man, I knew I looked pathetic but once again; I didn't care.
"With us you could be powerful, you could control what you thought you couldn't, doesn't that sound good?" He asked, I felt the urge to stand up so I did, I slowly but surely raised myself up to my feet, wobbling and struggling to find my balance without the walls help. I looked him in the eye - or where I guessed his eyes would be under the shaded glasses, "fuck off."
He went to shout, I could tell from the way his pals face scrunched up but a loud explosion from an upper level interjected whatever he was going to say. Both our heads snapped up like we wouldn't be able to see through the walls to discover what the sound was.
I looked at him to see he was still looking up so with whatever strength I pulled out of nowhere I decided to catch him off guard and swipe my leg at his feet, causing the alpha to fall back. Despite his age and misguided demeanour he got back up pretty quickly and very quickly whipped his cane at me, I sharp pain scratched my cheek, so I lifted my hand to hold the pain. When I looked at my hand and saw blood on my fingers I suddenly found the energy I wanted and lunged at Deucalion.
