Alexander, already stressed with the changes he had to make in the company got even tenser when Scarlett and Ethan entered his cabin.

He motioned, with his hands, for them to sit.

"Now, before you both say  a word I'll start. Ethan is my best friend. And Ethan, the girl you just insulted is MY wife. So, apologize now.", he said with a stern look.

'Let the drama begin' he whispered to himself.

With a dramatic gasp, Ethan shrieked, "Wife? The fuck bro? Why do I not know this? Am I no longer important in your life? Huh, I see how this is. You've forgotten me. You don't love me anymore. Our love has died." Ethan wiped a few fake tears and sniffled. 

Amused at the way Ethan was enacting all of it, Scarlett let out a chuckle under her breath. 

"Ethan enough. Stop acting like a baby I will tell you everything later alright. Now apologize.", Alex said with finality

Ethan let out a childish huff and turned to Scarlett, " I am sorry for not knowing you are his  wife", he said.  

"That is so not what you should be sorry for. The way you talked to me is not at all acceptable.", Scarlett said.

"Yeah-yeah that too. I am sorry.", he grumbled. 

"It's fine. Alex I am going to go now.", she said and walked out. 

Once she was out of sight the real drama began. 

"WHAT THE FUCK MAN?!! WE WERE SUPPOSED TO BE BESTFRIENDS DUDE! YOU GOT MARRIED WITHOUT TELLING ME?", Ethan shouted as soon as Scarlett let the cabin. 

"Calm down Ethan. I did not tell you because even I didn't know that I was getting married for fucks sake."

"How the fuck did you not know that you dumb fucker."

For anyone witnessing this, they would surely never believe that these were the most successful people in all of New York,( given the fact the said people never read the newspaper or saw the news)- one the youngest CEO and the other the most successful surgeon.

Even though the two had just started their careers, their parents success and fame had gotten them introduced to the media at pretty young age. 

No one would be able to say that these were the most cold hearted, closed off, most eligible bachelors- well at least one of them was still  a bachelor. 

But were they really as cold hearted as they appeared to be in front of the camera? 

The  two heartthrobs, the best friends or as Ethan would say- childhood lovers. 

"I was not supposed to get married to Scarlett. It was never supposed to be her who was caught in the mess I made. I am to be blamed for all of this not her.", Alexander said. 

"Xander babe calm down. Your veins are popping and their is no girl here to seduce. Sit here and  have some water.", he said passing the bottle of water that was on his desk. 

Looking at the bottle Ethan frowned. He always told Xander to keep a bottle of water instead of a glass but he never listened. This change was unexpected but nice to see. 

That is afterall the magic of new beginnings, isn't it?

"Now, what happened dude?",Ethan asked calmly. 

"Granny's health is deteriorating day-by-day and she wanted to see me married. She wanted both of her grandkids to be settled down in a happy house. Since she has seen Em with her daughter and all she pestered me to at least get married. I did not want to and the girl she sent made me repulse the idea even more.", Alexander started narrating the tale.
