"To have someone trust you is an honor'

"Why have we stopped at the mall Mr Knight?", Scarlett asked as Alexander stopped the car outside the mall.

" Get out, go and buy something that fits you. You're not wearing these clothes. ", he said.

" But why? I don't need new clothes. I have enough as it is.", she said.

But Alexander wasn't having it. He was hell-bent on making her change her clothes. He wasn't a man to object to women dressing the way they wanted but seeing Scarlett wearing her clothes had pissed him off and he was questioning himself why in the world had he still kept her clothes in his family house.

Not understanding what was happening and why Alexander was behaving the way he was Scarlett gave up and got out of the car.

Alexander was expecting a slam on the door but he did not expect her to leave the door wide open. Alexander had to go out of his way to close the door and then proceed towards the mall.

After browsing the women section Scarlett ended up buying a plain black crop top and blue denim joggers. She quickly paid for it even though Alexander insisted on paying and changes her clothes.

She let her brown waves hang loose and tucked a few strands behind her ear.

Once they hit the road again Scarlett's stomach made a grumbling sound and that had her embarrassed for the entire night.

Sensing that she was hungry and so was he stopped the car near a diner.

"Now why have we stopped?", she said annoyed that it was taking a lot of time for them to reach Grayson's house.

"We are eating food here and then going. Don't want people to think that I dont feed you.", he said his voice still cold and face emotionless.

They entered the diner and it was modern and clean with lights hanging overhead, sofa seats and tables and chairs lined neatly.

Alexander and Scarlett sat on the tables and Alexander pulled out a chair for Scarlett.

'Such a gentleman' one would reckon and he was one even when he was angry at someone he knew how to respect them.

" Thanks", she muttered sitting down to which Alexander only nodded and sat in front of her.

"Hi, I'm Martha your waitress for the night. Are you ready to order?", a girl whose name happened to be Martha came and ask them.

Scarlett knew what she wanted - an Indian taco with a side of coleslaw and a glass of sprite to go with it.

Alexander on the other hand wanted the exact opposite. A plate of alfredo sauce pasta with a touch of garlic and breadsticks on the side with one serving of coke.

After placing their order they waited for it to come -obviously- and while they did so they did not know what to do.

Scarlett started imagining different scenarios on how the meeting with Kristy and uncle Jhon would go like.

There were three possible outcomes -

One- They go and tell them and they buy their lies at first and then ask them questions about each other.
The former part here was in favour of Scarlett but the latter wasn't.

Two - They would not believe her and pass it off as a joke. And then she and Alexander would never meet each other.

The former was likely to happen but the latter? The odds to that were zero to a billion.
