Scarlett is pretty much the description of 'beauty with brains' and 'everyone has a scared past' together. Now what matters is her present. And this present need MONEY to fund someone's life.

"Hello, is this Scarlett Jones?", the girl from the other end.
"Yes, I am her. How may I help you miss?", she said. Hed voice was strained from staying in the hospital for the rest of day and skipping her classes.
She was scared for Graysons mom as she had done so much for her and her father.
Now when it was time to payback, she was penniless and she hated being helpless and seeing Grayson break.
She didn't like it but she couldn't help it.
"You've been selected for the paid internship. You start from tomorrow in the evening shift since you opted part time. You need to be here at 3 sharp and your shift will last till 9", the girl said.
"oh. Thank you so much. I'll not be late.", she said and hung up.
"Grayson! I got the job. Now we can apply for a medical loan and get the money and I'll repay it.", she said.
"Scar, even I can take a loan. But it will be a very long process to get it approved and it might put mom's health into danger. I've paid a bit of money and I'll ask other friends who can help.", he said.
Just then a thought struck her, her own savings had a lot of money to pay for her share of rent and grocery and her college fees. She could always use them and save again.
So she did that. She went home took all the necessary documents and went to the bank.
She went and got the money from the bank but it seemed to be less. The private hospital was the best, but it also was very expensive.
After Scarlett and Grayson emptied their bank accounts leaving them with just a bit to survive, Scarlett thought of asking help from Mr. Knight.
Sure he'd understand that she needed the money.

"You're getting married Alexander", his father said as soon as he stepped inside his father's study.
"I'm sorry. Are you out of your mind dad?", he shrieked.
"Your grandma, she's getting really ill and wants you to get married. She's found a perfect girl. Her name Is Katherine and comes from a well reputed family. She wants the two of you to meet and get engaged and married as soon as possible", his father said.
"Nothing is happening to granny and I'm not getting married.", he said with a tone of finality. But his father didn't have it.
"You are and that's final. Meet the girl atleast.", he said.
Alexander reluctantly agreed to meet her and it was just six in evening, he could always call her to his office to meet at the moment and the girl would come.
