//fast forward a month n a half to the day before tour//

"Matt I'm going to miss you baby!" I called making him run towards with with open arms. He lifted me off the ground in a hug and put me back down with a grin. "Hands off my girlfriend!" Josh said playfully whilst taking my hand and pulling me back toward him. "Aw I'm sorry is Josh jealous?" I taunted making him pout. "Shut up and kiss me" he smirked and I did what he told me to do. The guys were leaving early in the morning so this was my last chance to see them and say goodbye. I know it was only for six weeks but it was also a week until mine and Josh's two month anniversary so he was going to be away for it. "Josh I need to talk to you!" Max called him away from me with a grin so I went to talk to Chris. "Hey!" I smiled and he returned it. "Hey Lexa, so how do you think Josh will cope without you?" He winked. "I think he'll do just fine, two and a half months ago, he didn't even know I existed." I laughed and Josh came to pull me away again. "Josh you can't pull me away every time I talk to someone else," I winked and he lifted me up so my legs were wrapped around his body. "Oh really?" He smirked back at me before I leaned towards him connecting his lips with mine. "Okay well maybe you can.." I said when he put me back down on the floor. "I'm going to miss you so much." I said quietly with tears almost escaping my eyes. Josh noticed this and pulled me into a tight hug which couldn't last long enough. "I better go, it's getting late now and you have to be up early and yeah, I'll see you in six weeks i guess." My choked up voice managed to say before I turned to walk out the door. "Lexa wait!" He called after me and I waited till he was standing in front of me again. "I-I love you." He whispered running his hand down the side of my face, brushing the hair out of my eyes. My heart was racing, it was the first time he'd said that to me and it made leaving so much harder. "I love you too!" I said in-between grinning like a fool and trying not to cry. His lips crashed to mine making me giggle and pull away. "Right, I need to go. I'll see you when you get back." And I left.

As I walked I to my flat I instantly heard shouting. "Maddy?" I called out and walked into her bedroom to find her in tears slamming down the phone. I sat down on the bed next to her pulling her into a hug. "What's happened mads?" I asked softly and she looked up to face me. "I don't even know, everything was fine and then he started drinking at this party he's at now, and he's a horrible drunk! He just started shouting and I don't know what I've done" she sobbed even more into my jacket. "Mads, you haven't done anything! Just try not to think about him until the morning when he's sober and you two can't talk it out then," I told her and wiped her tears away with my thumbs. "You're right" she whispered and gave me another hug before getting into bed. "So how was today with Josh?" She asked and I felt bad for talking about it when she was having troubles with Brandon. "Well it was really good actually and really emotional, I'm going to miss him so much." I told her and she smiled softly. "I want details!!" She squealed and I laughed at her reaction. "Well, I was saying goodbye and he called me back and told me he loved me and that's the first time he's told me that" I grinned just thinking about it and Maddy reacted the same way. "Oh my god Lexa that is so cute! I'm so happy for you both!" She told me genuinely. "So do you want to go for lunch or something tomorrow? And we can catch up about everything!" I asked and she nodded excitedly before I left the room to go to bed.

"I'll have a latté and Maddy will have.."
"The same please"
We smiled at the lady behind the counter as she took our order at costa. "So have you spoke to Brandon?" I asked she shook her head. "I don't want to, not yet anyway, I'm going to wait until he speaks to me, and apologises." And I nodded in agreement. We found two seats by the window and took them before we spoke again. "Has Josh called you?" She asked excitedly and I nodded with a smile. "Yeah before he left" my smile faded after those words left my mouth. "Aw Lexa don't worry! Six weeks will fly by!" She smiled and I laughed remembering that's exactly what Josh had said. "Yeah I guess, I mean they're going to go on longer tours in the future right? This is nothing.." I continued and my heart sank.

After we left costa myself and Maddy decided to go for a walk around the city. We ended up talking about Josh and I most of the time, no matter how much I tried to change the subject. Words couldn't describe how much Maddy 'shipped' us, I have to admit, I kind if liked it. I took mine and Maddy's empty cans to the bin and spotted a little French bulldog playing with a little boy, no older than 7, across the road in an open field. His parents stood watching their son with smiles on their faces and their arms wrapped tightly around each other. They looked at each other with such love and passion and then they spotted me and smiled. I returned the smile politely and turned to walk back to Maddy who was now on the phone. "Aw I love you!" She grinned and hung up. "Brandon?" I asked and she nodded happily. "He said sorry, and that it was his fault and blah blah blah" she laughed and looked at me with a confused expression. "What's up Lexa?" She asked and I paused before speaking, deliberating what to say and not sound too weird. "Well, your probably going to think I'm crazy, but I just saw that family over there.." I pointed and her eyes followed. "And, well I know me and Josh have only been together two months almost, but, I don't know, the fact that he's in a band, do you think it will stop us having a normal future?" I asked and mentally slapped myself for sounding so pathetic. I mean, I've only been with him two months! Was I crazy to even be thinking about a but future like that with him already? He probably wasn't.

When we got home I went into my room and pulled out my iPod, plugging it in to the dock and blasting out tonight alive tracks. "Lonely girl it looks like you are out of luck, tell me how it feels to watch your friends give up.." I sang alone happily to the music and drifted to sleep.
