The pillars were seated in an alternating pattern as they faced the form of Ubuyashiki Kagaya.

Unlike before, they weren't in the outdoors anymore. They sat in a room lighted by bright yellow lanterns. The atmosphere wasn't as tense as it was earlier. It was calmer, a result of the pillars having calmed down from the trial that had occurred only moments before.

"Just as you've all reported, the carnage of the demons has increased. The threat to human life is the greatest it has ever been." The master started.

Sanemi released a cough, "The Mt. Natagumo incident made the fact clear, Oyakata-sama. The caliber of the Demon Slayer Corps is taking a nose dive. You would think the trainers could tell which ones are competent and not."

Tengen hummed, "Those two kids earlier seemed flashy enough."

Kagaya smiled, "Yes. Another subject I wanted to talk to you about. Kamado Tanjiro, Agatsuma Zenitsu, and Hashibira Inosuke are the three newest demon slayers of this generation. I believe with time, they would grow to become great slayers," He looked from left to right. "Last night, Agatsuma Zenitsu was able to eliminate one of the twelve kizuki, the lower five."

A gasp of joy rang out, coming from the love pillar, "Oh! How amazing!"

"Agreed! Even we hashiras barely manage to come across one!" Kyoujuro admitted.

"Correct you are, Mitsuri, Kyoujuro. It is quite an amazing feat for someone so new. That is not the only instance of his strength. In this year's final selection, he was able to save most of the competitors. Sixteen were able to come out alive."

"Will you be making him into a pillar, Oyakata-sama?" Gyomei queried, wanting to know more about the blond-haired boy. Other than Muichiro, there was really no other children at their rank. It would be nice for the aloof mist pillar to make friends of his age.

Kagaya gave them a gentle expression, "I believe he has the potential to become a future hashira. All three of them, actually. Which is why I ask of you all to guide them if possible. I believe these three will bring us great progress."

The sound pillar raised his fists excitedly, "Hm, yes! I will flamboyantly do so! I'll make them into flashy pillars!" Tengen posed as he boasted.

Kyoujuro let out a happy hoot, "Haha! I will gladly make them into my tsugukos! I will light the flame in their hearts!"

"Oh my, it seems like some of us are already excited to interact with them," Shinobu quietly mumbled.

Obanai and Muichiro remained quiet as the others conversed.

"Oh! How adorable! I will definitely instruct them!" Mitsuri fawned.

"Tch, fine. I'll try to tolerate those brats." Sanemi muttered.

"What about you, Tomioka-san? Are you planning on training them as well?" The insect hashira panned her gaze towards the nonchalant pillar.

Giyuu shrugged, "Maybe."

Ubuyashiki Kagaya chuckled as he listened to the conversation of his skilled slayers. He let them enjoy each other's company. They were they closest they had to family, even if some didn't get along most of the times. In a job as dangerous as a demon slayer, one could not be sure that they would live to see another day.

It was moments like these that they treasured the most.

But Kagaya's curiosity wasn't quenched, he still had to pay someone a visit.

It was weird.

Zenitsu felt like every day was the same. It all sort of blended together. Since he wasn't poisoned by the spider-demon like before, he did not have to spend a lot of time recovering, which was the main thing he did in the past.
