Chapter 5

Levi was sitting with Hangi, Erwin, and Petra. Erwin was blabbering on about how excited he was to get out of the castle tomorrow, while Levi was just worried about getting through it. He hates gatherings and now, he had to worry about staying away from Kenny. After he abandoned Levi, they never spoke again, nor did they want to.

But as sad as it was, Levi cant just not go. It would be extremely rude to his own higher ups if he didnt show up to a party that was being thrown for his higher ups and for others. He also already got a cadet involved.
"Hey Levi! Stop sulking woos, Im going to take Ace out today, i will let her know. Just telling you so you dont get all angry at her for not being at training." Levi simply nodded, knowing if he said anything he would snap at Erwin for not trying to make his commanders un-invite Kenny. Even though, they both knew they would get nowhere.

Ace slurped her oatmeal while talking to her friends about anything and everything. "Ace, watch it, Hangi coming our way." She dropped her spoon, took a quick swig of her water and then turned around. "Hey Matsuri!!!! You are dismissed from all duties today, we are going shopping!! We will go 30 mins after breakfast ends. I will get you from here. See you then!" Ace watched the brown ponytail on the top of Hanji's head swing from side to side as she walked off. She was way to enthusiastic for it to be 7:30am. "Whats that all about Aceyyy?" Eren asked, in a spectacle tone. "You remember when the captain needed to talk to me? He is taking me to a gathering as a date because he "'trusts my behaviour"' even though i have barley talked to him. I dont understand why he wouldnt take Historia."

They all looked stunned. Like this was a big deal or something. "This is huge Ace! Why do you seem so nonchalant about it all! This is a chance for you to see all of out higher up's!" Armin exclaimed, excitement dripping in his supposedly calm tone. Ace just shakes her head, stating she wants to shower before having to go, so she leaves.

Levi leaves at the same time, heading to his office to sort his paperwork for later that night. He looked at his feet while he walked, deep in thought. As Ace was doing the same thing, she didn't see Levi. And he, apparently didn't see her either. They slammed into each other, him giving her a nose bleed, and she, punching him in the face accidentally on impact. Sorry's started flowing from Ace's mouth, stating that it was her fault and she should have been watching where she was going.

Levi noticed the blood dripping onto the floor, and immediately took her to his office. She was still rapidly apologizing, not stopping until we got to his office. "Sir-" Levi cut her off, "Cadet, its alright, i wasn't watching where i was going either and walked into you, it was my fault. So shut up with the sorry's." Ace mumbled one last sorry, causing Levi to smirk. "Here brat, hold this handkerchief up to your nose to stop the bleeding, its a pretty steady flow of blood. I could have damaged it." Levi said, leaving the room and coming back with ice. "What's that for sir?" He smiled, "Its for your head, it might hurt after."

Levi sat Ace down on the couch and she started talking. "Captain, im so sorry about last night, i was out of line for trying to go for a walk. I know the rules, i should not have broke them. I know you didn't punish me last night, but i will take any punishment you give me. I deserve it." She looked like she was about to break down into tears.

Levi wasnt sure what to say. She in in all reality was correct, he should punish her for her actions. But it was just a small mishap. He was caught in a loop, he didn't know why he cared about her getting punished, but he did. Levi didn't know what to say to Ace, so he stayed silent. "Sir, please punish me."

Those words sent a shiver up Levi's spine, giving his stomach a feeling of butterfly's. He brushed it off and chopped the feeling up to be just that he was hungry. "Ace, its alright i wont punish you. You could have just been going to the cafeteria to get water. You did say you were sick, didn't you?" Levi gave her a small smile. He hoped saying that would calm her nerves.

Ace felt a weird feeling in her stomach after seeing him smile. It was something no one, or barley anyone, had saw him do. Ever. And it was directed at her. Every girl on the squad had or has a crush on Levi. His figure was just so damn perfect. His cheekbones were so perfectly outlined by his beautiful hair. The colour of his eyes brought out by the colour of his raven hair. His strength being the most beautiful thing Ace had ever seen. Ace had overheard some of the girls talking about his abs. Which were, without a doubt, toned and as beautiful as ever.

But Ace started to realize after being here for so long that she would never get looked at in any other way then professionally. At first that made her upset, but she eventually got over her boy crush and decided to focus solely on getting stronger. That was her goal, to be the strongest soldier there. And to be honest, she was almost there. The only people she couldn't beat were Anne and the captain himself. And maybe Erwin, but she was to scared to ask him.

Ace's nose bleed subsided as she calmed down more about the whole situation with Levi. "Would you like some tea, sir? I can grab you some, just as a sorry for all of this." Levi glanced back at Ace. Putting the ice for his face in the garbage, he turned to face her. "Sure cadet, but think of it as a sorry from me for not watching where I was going." Ace got up and nodded, heading to the door to get the tea.

She sped walked to the now empty cafeteria. She opened the kitchen door to see cleaning duty doing their job. Eren, Mikasa and Historia were on cleaning duty today. Ace really didn't want conversation because she was worried about keeping the Caption waiting. "Ace, what happened? I saw the caption taking you away with a nose bleed!" Mikasa practically screamed, which didn't help Ace's already horrid migraine. "Jeez, calm down. I just ran into him while heading to the showers. I am getting tea for him now and i kinda have to be quick. So excuse me." Ace sounded a little more rude then she meant to. But she grabbed her things, tea pot, tea cup and his favourite tea, black tea as well as tea spoons. She put it all on a tray, said bye to her friends and made her way up to the captions office.

Ace knocked on his door lightly with her foot, causing the tea cups to shake a little. "Come in!" Levi said, sounding almost board. Ace didn't know if she could hold the tray with just one hand, but tried anyway. The tray was really shaky as she twisted the doorknob, but it didn't fall, which was a relief. "Sorry i took a bit sir, Eren and Mikasa stopped me." Levi stood up from his chair and moved toward Ace. He clicked his tongue and took the tray from her. "You need to stop apologizing for stupid things, Cadet." He rolled his eyes and gestured for Ace to sit down. "Sir?" She said, confused. Levi gestured his hand again to the chair in front of him, inviting her to sit.

Ace slowly moved to the chair, pulling it out and sitting down. Levi had poured her some tea, he added just enough sugar, it made Ace feel warm. They sat in a very comfortable silence, Levi was writing things on his paper. Ace decided to get the book she was reading so she could keep herself busy as well. The atmosphere was so calming, she could stay there forever.

Kind of a long one eh? I think it was worth it though. They are really cute tbh. 1443 words:)
