Audrey POV:

"LEVI!" I yelled, screaming at the top of my lungs. This stupid fucking Titan had him by the foot, he was slowly making his way to eating him whole.

I have never used so much gas at once, and I have never gone this fast. But I was on the Titan in under 5 seconds. How could the Cap not see this ugly bastard? He is huge and stinks. How?

Blood gushed everywhere, in my eyes, my mouth, all over my clothes. I didn't have time to think as the monster fell to the ground. I swung down and got the ebony haired man from his mouth and swung onto a roof top.

His eyes were half lidded, lips slightly parted. He was pale - even more so - and his foot. God damnit his foot was gone. Like physically gone. I grimaced at the sight, I shivered.

His eyes were opening slightly, looking up at the blue sky. "It's beautiful, isn't it, Sir?" His head was on my lap, his breaths were slow. "Levi." I looked down at him, confused. "You called me Levi, Cadet."

My cheeks reddened. I mumbled a sorry and looked away. "You know, you look really sleepy for a man who never sleeps." He laughed, it was only a low chuckle, but he still did it.

A beautiful sound that I have rarely ever heard, and a sound I would kill to hear again. "I just lost a foot, don't be cocky with me." I looked down at him again, and he was looking at me.

My heart felt like it was beating faster than the speed of light, and I could die right there, and be okay with it. He was so beautiful, hot - yes - but so goddamn pretty.

My hand came up and strokes his hair, feeling the buzzcut beneath my fingertips. I was mesmerized by the feeling that I hardly heard the Captain say something.

"I like it when you call me by name." There was a tint to his cheeks, and for a moment I thought it was all a dream. He never broke eye contact, which was making my breath hitch.

"Yea?" Was all I could get out. I think me and him both forgot that people were dying. We both knew that what was happening right now was extremely selfish, but it's okay to be selfish sometimes, we are only human after all.

"What happened to all of your sarcasm, Princess?" My eyes widened, I looked away. "When did you become so cocky, Levi?" The name felt foreign leaving my lips, but it was something that I could very easily get used to.

He laughed again, then he rolled his eyes. He can be so sassy. "The world seems so quiet right now, don't you agree, Ace?" I shouldn't even be startled anymore.

These past, what, 30 minutes have made me realize just how close Levi and I had become. But still, him calling me my name made me feel something else. Something I had never felt. And I wasn't sure if I liked it.

"Yea, I do, Levi. But it's not. There are people dying, shouldn't I help?" I asked him, still looking at the clouds going by. "You are starting to sound like me, so stop. We deserve peace. I need you to know that." I nodded.

I did know that, but now was not a good time to take that rain check. "I'm going to take you to the wall." I said, looking down into his eyes again.

But I don't move. "Are you?" He asks me. "Yes. I have to." But still, I don't move. "You like looking at me, admit it." He smiled, a warm smile that could light a fire deep in someone's heart. "I just.." I couldn't get words out because I didn't have any to say.

"Come on, Ace. I am useless now, the world needs you. No pressure." I laughed, setting his head onto the roof lightly and standing.

I didn't leave, of course. I bent over to pick the short man up. He was much heavier than previously expected. "Get rid of all that muscle, Levi. If some scrawny chick came to help you, Titans would enjoy eating you."

I shot into the air from the clock tower and grappled onto the wall, climbing up the steel brick. As we made it to the top, a green flare went up, signalling that everyone needs to make their way up the wall once more to reconvene.

I set Levi down, he winced at the pain that was definitely going through his leg. "I'm alright, so don't make that face." His hand came and rested on my face, and my body relaxed immediately.

"Levi, how much blood have you lost. You are turning into a softy." I whispered at him, like we were the only people in the world. His hand was so warm on my face, but I could tell people were staring, so I forced myself away.

Levi would not want rumours going about saying that we were more than we really were. He was my Captain, I was his Cadet. That's all, and I didn't want to make Levi uncomfortable by making people think otherwise.

"Idiot. You are going to be sent back out there, so promise me that when I wake up you will be there right beside me." I sighed, emotion welling in my throat. I could feel my lip starting tingling tremble.

"I promise, Levi." He was already asleep. All
I could do was hope he heard me.
