Chapter 19.

TW: Mentions of vomiting.

Audrey POV:

"Ooooooo, I see you are Shorty are getting closer." I was already making my way towards the group formed around Erwin when Hange came and yelled at me.

"We are not. We are only, uh, friends, I guess?" I still wasn't too sure what the Cap- I mean Levi and I were, and I didn't want Hange's mind to start whirling with theories.

But of course, it was too late for that. I could see it behind her glasses, into her brown eyes. They were twinkling with all kinds of thoughts that I wasn't sure if I wanted to know about.

"Sureee. Erwin is going to send us off again and give us our positions. I think you're going to be with Eren. Protecting him, I guess." Hange stated.

The group around the Commander was pretty big, me and Hange had go squeeze our way in. "...Cadet Ackerman, Arlert, and Matsuri will be on Protective squad Eren. That will be everyone's groups. When the flare goes off, make a run for it! And, last but not least, shinzo wo sasageyo!"

Everyone was now running to their positions and formations. I was so caught up in all of the commotion that I forgot to say bye to Hange, and when I turned to look, she was already gone.

Eren, Mikasa and Armin were standing over the wall, staring down at the town below them. "Everything alright, guys?" I asked, already knowing the answer by the kids faces.

"Yea, I guess. We will all be fine. I will put the boulder on the wall, Titians will stop coming into wall Rose, everything will be dandy." I knew Eren, which meant I knew that he was being a sarcastic prick. I decided to let it slide. I could practically taste the anxiety coming off of the boy.

"Yea. You will, Eren. Good luck guys. I will be right by your side." And the flare went off. The floor felt like it was rumbling below us, putting me a little off balance.

We all jumped off the wall at the same time, making our way towards the boulder waiting for Eren. That thing is fucking huge was all I could think of. I seriously questioned if he would even be able to pick it up, let alone walk with it.

We tumbled onto a nearby roof, watching, waiting. A flash of lightning lit up the sky, signifying that Eren was ready to go.

He was huge, long, black hair and teeth as sharp as razor blades. I had seen his Titian form before, but not this close. He got up and made his way towards the boulder, but something was off.

Me, Armin and Mikasa watched as Eren turned to look at us, emitting a powerful, angry energy. The next moment happened in a flash, bricks from the house were flying everywhere and before falling off the roof, I caught Mikasa's face.

She was bleeding. Eren had hit all of us off the roof, sending us flying in all different directions. I hit the concrete with a smash. The world was spinning and everything sounded so far away. My body felt like led as I rolled onto my back from my side.

The sky was beautiful, still. Just like how I had seen it with Levi. I wondered how he was doing right now, the thought was numbing the pain. I was starting to lose consciousness and I could feel it.

Soon, the sky became darker, but it wasn't because I was passing out. A Titian stood right above me, making me realize what state I was in at the moment.

Shattered ribs, bruised hamstrings, concussion. A scream ripped from my dry throat as the pain surged through me all at once, that mixed with the Titian towering over me. I'm about to die. I knew it, I was about to die, like the pathetic idiot I-

"Promise me when I wake up you will be right beside me." That damned Levi. I have to stop making promises I know I can't keep. I had to get up.

My head was hammering, it felt like my brain was going to go through my skull. I was hauling myself up, the stupid Titan inches away from me.

"My fucking legs!" I cursed. They weren't moving, My body felt tight, my limbs, squished. The Titians hand was holding onto me for dear life. Like he needed me to live.

He was putting me into his mouth. It stank of rotting flesh and blood, and on top of that, human remains and saliva were coating the inside of his mouth.

I knew I was screaming as I went inside his mouth, but I couldn't hear myself. But when I got inside, my throat was dry and my vocal cords were dead. He didn't bite me, he just put me in here.

I was slowly slipping down his tongue and I knew I had to think fast. I pulled out my blades and stabbed its tongue, and again, and again until its jaw fell open from screaming.

I slid out of its mouth like you would on a waterslide. I was running on pure adrenaline, so the pain wasn't registering. I used my grapples to hook onto the back of the Titians neck and got as much force as possible to slice the things nape as quick as possible.

I slammed myself back onto a roof, chest heaving. I was having a panic attack and now was not the time. Bile was coming up my throat, so I stuck my fingers in my mouth and vomited.

My head was shaking, fizzing. So when I looked up to see Armin sitting on Eren's Titian form, I didn't think before I jumped up and ran towards him.
