Levi POV:

I threw up before I came into her room. Nerves were flowing through me like water, and I could not contain them. I was only in my office for 20 minutes when Hange came in.

"What the hell are you doing, Four eyes!" I shot up in my chair, anger flowing through me. "Don't get pissy with me. Your girlfriend woke up, like actually woke up." Not bothering to correct her, I ran past her.

Through my office door, Cadets were still crowded around the nursing headquarters. It pissed me off, all types of emotions flowing through me as I pushed my way through the crowd for the second time today.

The doors to her room seemed so huge, too huge. Running to the nearest trashcan, I vomited, Hange came up behind me to lightly pat my back. It seems all I have felt recently is useless.

"I'm good." I said to Hange before getting up. When I got into the room everything stilled. She was still the same, but panicked. Which was definitely not good for a girl who just woke up after two weeks.

All of the doctors and nurses moved away from her, letting and Hange and I through the crowd. Erwin was supposed to be here with us, but he was no where to be found.

I got to her first, putting my hands on her cheeks, letting her know I was there. I knew her like nobody else, I knew what she was thinking.

I told her that everybody was alright. Knowing that was what she needed to hear. She started crying, sweet girl. She is laying in a hospital bed right now and is worried about others.

"Worry about yourself now, remember?" I told her, reminding her of what we talked about that day. Her crying slowed, she spoke to me, something only I could hear.

"I'm sorry I wasn't there when you woke up. I promise that next time I will be. I will forever stay by your side until death due us part, I will be by your side when you need me and I will not let you die."

I smiled at her. It was the only thing I could do in that moment to stop myself from being an idiot and saying that I love her.

"These amazing nurses have to take care of you, I will get you water, okay?" She nodded. My hands left her cheeks, leaving my palms cold and empty. "Levi-" I looked at Hange, put my hand on her shoulder and said, "She is strong, Hange. She will be okay."

The brunette looked at me with sadness and worry. "It's not her, Levi. What about you?" My hands fell from her shoulders, landing at my sides. "I'm fine, Section Commander. I will be back."

I looked behind me as I left, looking at Hange and Ace before leaving.

Time Skip, 6 hours—

Ace POV:

"Hange? Where did Levi go?" Everyone had cleared out of the room by now. Levi had been gone for a while, much too long to be getting water. "Hange?" I asked again, shaking the woman awake from beside my bed.

"I apologize, I didn't know you were sleeping." I say, feeling bad for waking her. Yawning, she responded, "It's okay, what did you ask?" she politely responded.

My head was still a little heavy, and my body, which I haven't even gotten a look at yet. From what the nurses told me, it would be a long recovery. "Levi, where is he?" I ask again. Hange sat herself up to face me while she spoke, "Not sure, probably his room? He has been awake worried sick these past few days. He was also in a hospital bed, so he didn't get much rest."

I sighed, squeezing my eyes shut. It would not be a good idea to try and walk to his room, right? I mean, I have a hospital gown on, I might be naked. Wait, no i'm not. That parts fine, but the rest of me? I'm not sure if I can hold myself up right now, but I wan- need to go see him.

"Hange-" She stopped me, "I can help you get there, I know you are going to try as soon as I leave." She groans, sitting up from the chair. I beam a smile at her, being half grateful and half worried she can read my thoughts. She grabbed my hands, hoisting me up onto the edge of the bed.

The pain in my ribs and calfs was excruciating, but I would make it. "C'mon love bird." She chirped as she walked me through the room to the door. The air was cold around me, the floor felt like ice on my bare feet. "Is it always this cold?" I ask, shivering in Hange's hands.

"No, definitely not." She returned. The building still looked the same, I'm not sure why I expected it to change. The rooms and halls were empty, assuming all of the cadets were are training, lucky. Levi's door came into sight pretty quickly which seemed like a godsend right now.

I could collapse onto his couch and be so content knowing he is in the room next to me. It's the closest we will ever get to each other, and thats all I need.

Hange didn't bother knocking, so she just let herself in. Levi wasn't in there, but we both knew where he was because of the loud snoring coming from his room. "Lay on the couch, I will get you a few blankets and pillows. Also some pj's. Be right back." Hange said, leaving me alone in his office.

It's so calm in here, I could spend hours in here, just like last time. Making my way over to the leather couch, I set my bum onto it, letting the cold momentarily take over. Soon it was replaced by warmth from the couch, so I laid down.

I sincerely hope Levi wouldn't mind, if he does I can just blame it on Hange. Speaking of, "Hey kiddo. Change into these, it will be more comfy." She handed me my pair of lamb pyjama pants and a fluffy croptop that matched. Thanking her, I slid out of the gown and slipped into my pyjamas.

"Sleep tight." Hange said before leaving, quietly shutting the door behind her. Lying on the couch, I put the pillows under my head and my blankets over me and let my exhaustion take over.

Sorry, Levi.
