Levi POV:

The room filled up with nurses when I informed Hange of Ace's movements. I can't fully remember what happened after she reached out to me.

"I remember sitting there with her for a long ass time, not wanting to leave. Then you came in, and for the first time I was happy to see you, Four Eyes." Hange took me out for 'questioning'.

She needed to tell the nurses what happened, but I would be sure to tell Hange to leave out the part where I was being soft. She made sure I told the whole story in full detail, telling me not to leave anything out.

I never lied, so I did what was asked. "Thanks, Shorty. I wont make it seem like you love her as much as you d-" My head snapped up at her, quick enough to make my neck cramp. "I do not love her, Hange. Watch what the hell you say to me." I left the room to go to my office.

Cadets surrounded the hallway, somehow hearing the news about Ace "waking up". I saw her friends in the crowd, I felt bad for them. Yager and I never were on the best of terms, but regardless, I still cared for him because he is on my squad, it's like that with everyone.

"Yager, come here." I yelled to the boy, getting his attention along with his friends. He walked over, looking like a scared puppy. "Sir?" He asked, a slight tremble apparent in his voice. "Matsuri is alright, you need not to worry about her." He looked relieved, nodding his head and running back to his friends.

I pushed my way through the sea of Cadets. Once I got through, my office was in sight. The door knob was cold on my finger tips as I turned it. My office was how I remembered it, only missing two things.

Me, of course. And her.

Audrey POV:

The world was spinning when I opened my eyes. The room looked so bright, but the ceiling was only wood. The lights above me were shining into my eyes, making me blink several times before fully adjusting.

"She's awake!" Some unknown voice yelled across the room, banging off the walls of my skull. People I didn't know came rushing towards me, random arms were in my vision, eyes of people I didn't know the names of looking down at me.

I felt a sharp pang on my wrist, causing me to scream, but no sound came out. 'Where the hell were people I knew, where the hell am I?' those thoughts surrounded my head.

"Get Mr. Ackerman and Miss. Hange, and the Commander!" My mind woke up. Flashbacks of everything that happened to me. Eren, Mikasa, Armin. Levi. I promised him I would be there when he woke up. God dammit.

Hell, I almost died 5 times on the field. I'm surprised I remembered it all. Getting flung when Eren hit us, falling onto the concrete, the Titian grabbing me and crushing God knows what bones, then killing said Titan and getting whiplash from going so fast onto another building to stay away from new coming Titians. God, then I went after Eren, that however, I do not remember.

A door slammed open, I wasn't sure where from. Somewhere in the room voices were mumbling, muffled by the sound of ringing in my ears. After all of the - I assume they are nurses - cleared away, the only person I wanted to see, came.

He was still blurry, but he still looked gorgeous. The way his hair framed his face, and the way his eyes looked into mine with worry and fear. He didn't change, not one bit.

I tried to lift my hand, but it would't move. I tried to talk, but only scratchy sound came out. Levi only shushed me, bringing a hand up to my cheek, letting it rest there.

I felt warmth trickle down my cheek, before I realized it I was crying. Stupid, stupid me. A wretched, crackling sob escaped my throat, all of the emotions of what happened kicking me in the gut.

"It's okay, it's okay. You don't have to cry, everyone's okay, you're okay, Hange is okay, Eren is okay, Mikasa, Armin, me. We are all okay. I know you are worried about them right now, but we are all good. Worry about yourself for now, remember?"

Levi sounded so soft, like a blanket. I stopped crying, crust of left over tears staining my cheeks. "Everyone's okay?" My voice sounded foreign to me. Cracked and broken, like a scratched record. My throat was on fire from the lack of water, and I hated it.

He nodded, putting both hands on my cheeks and resting his forehead on mine. "Everyone is okay, but hey, the amazing nurses have to take care of you. I will get you water, okay?" I nodded, my lip still slightly trembling.

I watched as he left the room, wanting so badly to go with him, even knowing he would be back within minutes. I couldn't stand to see him leave, not ever again.

I found a new goal, and it's stupid.
I will forever stay by Levi Ackerman until death due us part. I will be by his side when he needs me and will not let him die.
I had to tell him.
