Abhimanyu Birla:

Abhi continued to caress Akshu's head even though she had fallen asleep an hour ago. She finally fall asleep exhausted from all the crying. They had stayed up for a long time with Akshu telling him everything and him listening.  Abhi couldn't believe some of the things he heard and he couldn't imagine anyone going through all that but his Akshu did. His Akshu did. He wanted to burn the Goenkas to the ground but he was mostly angry with himself. This was all his fault. His girl suffered so much because of him.

Akshu was right. He never wanted a kid. He still didn't want a kid. If Akshu had told him about her pregnancy, he would have somehow convinced her to end it. He was the one to put that fear in her mind and that fear was not baseless. She left because of him. She suffered because of him. If she never left, she wouldn't have gone through everything that she did. He looked at her sleeping next to him. His beautiful, precious girl. He will never be able to forgive himself. He kissed her forehead gently. It was true, he never wanted a kid. It was also true he still did not want a kid. He had no attachment to the kid. But it didn't matter what he wanted. It didn't matter what anyone else wanted. Only Akshu's happiness mattered now.  He won't let her suffer anymore. He won't let her cry anymore. He was going to make sure Akshu got her son back. He was going to make sure they got their son back. Aarav was his son and he belonged with him and Akshu.

He got up from the bed and went to his desk and opened his laptop. If he wanted to get Aarav, he had to be prepared to put on a fight. First he needed to find the biggest lawyer dealing with family law. He quickly sent an email to several of his lawyer friends asking for recommendations. He also emailed the Birla Hospitals head lawyer asking him to look for a family law lawyer as well. Secondly, he looked up the hospital Akshu gave birth in Delhi. She had told him the name of the hospital and her doctor. He needed a statement from the doctor to state that Akshu was not in her senses to consent anyone taking the baby away. That was not going to be a problem. Being one of the top doctors belonging to a hospital like Birla Hospital had it's perks. He found the doctor's contact information and sent her an official email too. Lastly, he went ahead and scheduled a DNA test. He had no doubt Aarav was his son. Even without the similarities, he only had to know Akshu gave birth to him to know that he was the father. But the court would need proof and he wanted to have everything ready.

The sun was already out by the time Abhi was done. He went back to bed and laid next to Akshu. She was so distressed the night before and kept on screaming Aarav's name in her sleep, he had to give her medications to calm her down. He stroked her cheek. He remembered what she said at one point. "I know you don't care about Aarav. I'll take him and go and never ask you for anything, but please help me get him." He shook his head. He hated himself to make her think that she had to walk away if she wanted Aarav.  He was never going to let her go anywhere now.  His precious girl was always going to stay with him and nobody will ever dare to hurt her ever again.

Akshara Goenka:

Akshu paced up and down the living room, trying not to panic. Abhi had left the house during lunch and refused to take her with him. He told her she was not allowed to go near any of the Goenkas again. But the 24 hours were already up and there was no sign of Aarav or Abhi. What if Abhi got there and Bade Papa had already taken Aarav away?

Manjiri kept asking her what was wrong but she couldn't speak. If Aarav was gone, she will die. She was going to die without her baby. She already was having trouble breathing and her heart was beating so fast and her stomach was hurting and her head was spinning. Just when she was about to sit down as her knees felt weak, she heard a sound behind her.
"Bua!!!" Akshu turned around fast and gasped. Standing by the door was her baby holding Abhi's hand.
"Aarav!!!!" The little boy let go of Abhi's hand and ran to Akshu.  Akshu dropped to her knees and hugged him. "Aarav! My baby!" She kissed his face, crying.
"Bua! You are squishing me!"
"Sorry, sorry!" Akshu half laughed, half crying.
"Uncle Abhimanyu said we are having a sleepover!"
"We are? We will have so much fun!" Akshu picked him up and went to Abhi. "Abhi?" She hugged him crying. "Thank you!" She couldn't believe Abhi actually was able to get Aarav, that too so quickly. She wondered what went down but she will ask him that later. She wanted to focus on Aarav now. Her baby was with her. She couldn't believe it!

Manjiri and Dadi came downstairs and saw Aarav sitting on Akshu's lap. "Aarav is here? Who brought him?" Manjiri asked smiling at him. Akshu ruffled Aarav's hair.
"I did." Abhi answered sitting next to Akshu. "He will be staying here from now on."
"What? What you mean he's staying here from now on? What about his parents?" Dadi asked shocked. Akshu looked at Abhi. Abhi's Dadi was a very strict woman, a lot like Bade Papa. What if she didn't allow Aarav to stay? That's okay, Akshu will take her baby and leave. Abhi took Akshu's hand and gave her a reassuring smile.
"You are not going anywhere." He whispered to her as if he read her mind. "What about his parents?" Abhi asked his dadi.
"Why is Aarav staying here and not with his parents, Abhi?" Manjiri questioned him.
"He is staying with his parents. He's staying with me and Akshu." Abhi calmly answered still holding on to Akshu's hand who couldn't stop shaking.
"Oh great, we should just open an adoption center here." Abhi's dad came from behind and said sarcastically. "First Manjiri adopted her nephew, now Akshara has only been here less than a month and is already adopting her nephew! Great!"
"Aarav is my son so he's staying with us." Abhi got up and made Akshu get up too. "Come on, baby. Let's go to our room." He said to Akshu gently.
Akshu looked at the shocked expressions of the family and wanted to say something but couldn't speak up.
"What you mean he's your son? Abhimanyu! Answer me. You can't just walk away." Abhi's dad yelled at him.
Aarav held on to Akshu's hand tightly and started to cry. Akshu picked him up. "It's okay, Chanda. I got you." Akshu whispered in his ear.
"Baby, take him to the room. I'll be there shortly." Abhi said to her and Akshu nodded. Akshu quickly took Aarav to their room and closed the door behind scared of another storm coming.
