Y/N'S POV
They have finally arrived! Looks like Mako, Bolin, and Asami got all of their stuff. Hopefully the transition from living in a mansion to a temple will go smoothly after everything that has happened.
Me, Korra, and the airbending kids are waving at them as the boat finally reaches its destination.
"You're finally here!" Ikki exclaims with utmost excitement. "Welcome to Air Temple Island! You're new home."
Meelo is excited too...for other reasons.
"Yes, welcome to my domain!"
That kid scares me sometimes.
Mako approaches Korra and I with a small smile. "Thanks for sending the Air Acolytes to help us with the move."
"Yes, they've been amazing." Asami adds on. "Such tireless workers."
I look to my right and I see two Air Acolytes desperately carrying tons of luggage with all of their strength.
Damn, that's a lot of stuff. Poor guys.
Korra seems to be also surprised by the amount of luggage. "Oh, I thought you were only bringing a few things."
Mako's face flashes with amusement at Korra's comment. "Trust me, it could have been worse."
I chuckle at the firebender's response. "I guess so. Let's show you the temple."
We all start walking towards the temple, me beside Mako, and we're currently having some small talk about everything that's going on.
I glance at my right and I see Meelo giving Asami a wide (and creepy) grin. "You're pretty. Can I have some of your hair?"
I snicker at the scene before me as Mako sends a teasing look towards Asami. "Looks like I have some competition."
My snickering continues to rise and I playfully nudge him. "Yeah, Mako. Watch out! He's gonna steal your girl!"
We both let out a few chuckles, and before we know it we reached the temple. Ikki rushes to the front and stands straight, her stance full of pride.
"And now for the grand tour!" the young airbender excitedly announces. "The flying bisons sleep in those caves down there. And that's the temple Grandpa Aang built. And that's the greenhouse where we grow the vegetables and eat."
Huh, looks like Ikki knows a lot about island. I mean, duh, of course she would know since she lives here and all.
"I have a couple questions." Bolin tells Ikki, his voice full of curiosity. "Is this an all-vegetarian island? Is that where you train airbending? Do we have to wear Air Acolyte clothes? Do we each get our own sky-bison? And final question: How many tress are on this island?"
Those were definitely a "couple questions" Bolin. And why in spirits do you want to know how many trees there are?
Ikki takes a few moments thinking over Bolin's bombardment of questions, and a big grin emerges on her face.
"Yes, yes, no, no, 10,552."
Wha....what?! How...how did she....?
As my mind processes the fact that she somehow knows the number of trees here, Mako asks where they will be staying. Jinora and I start guiding them to the dormitories and I quickly flash Korra a smile and a thumbs up. She shoots back a thumbs up in response. Hopefully showing Asami to her room won't be too awkward for her.
Korra's POV
Ikki and I are walking Asami to her room. I hope she is doing okay after what happened with her father, she didn't deserve that at all.
