The Myth of Y/N (Korra X Reader)

LOST

Korra's POV

We are all on Oogi, rushing to get back to the Eastern Air Temple. No-one's said a word.

Y/N. Jinora.

I failed them. How could I have let this happen?

As we finally land, I see the excitement on Pema and the rest of the Air Kids' faces. This is going to hurt.

I see Pema's joy falter and transform into concern as she approaches us. "Where's Jinora?"

I look away. I don't want to see her face when she finds out.

The gasp I hear from her as she sees Tenzin carrying their daughter's body alone breaks my heart. "No!"

I walk back to the saddle and pick up Y/N's body. They look so peaceful and yet so lifeless.

It's because they are lifeless.

Tenzin hands Jinora to Pema, their faces full of fear. "Her spirit is trapped in the Spirit World, the same with Y/N's. But she's going to be all right." 

"How could this happen?" Pema lets out, hugging her daughter tightly.

This all happened because of me. This was my mistake.

Tenzin thinks otherwise, though. "It was all my fault. I should have never let Jinora enter the Spirit World without me. I couldn't protect her."

I glance at Pema, giving her my full sympathy. "I'm so sorry, Pema. I tried to save her but Unalaq tricked me." 

I'm so sorry, Y/N and Jinora. I'm so, so sorry.

"Don't worry, honey, I'm not going to stop until our little girl is back with us." Tenzin assures his wife, stroking his daughter's face with the back of his hand, his touch delicate.

Tenzin will stop at nothing to get Jinora back. 

Just like I will not rest until Y/N is saved.

Y/N, Jinora, wherever you guys are...I hope you two are all right.

MEANWHILE

Y/N'S POV

I slowly open my eyes to see nothing but whiteness.

What...?

Overcoming my tiredness, I rise up and bury my face into my hands, rubbing them up and down.

What happened? I can't remember a thing.

Come on, Y/N. Think! What happened?!

"I think you've said that before, Vaatu, but I'm here to close the portal."

Wait.

"You might want to reconsider, that is, if you want to save you friends."

No.

"What will it be? Open the portal, or lose your friends' souls forever?"

I'm beginning to remember...

"Stop! I'll do it."

NO!

"KORRA!"

"JINORA!" I shout out, rising to my feet immediately. I look around my surroundings and still see nothing but white. What is this place?!

I look around frantically until eventually I see the airbender lying on the floor near me.
