Ena POV

After viewing the angry crowd of reserve students, protesting in their suits, waving their signs around, and the women in their short skirts and white button down long sleeves - Nagito walked me home - making sure I was safe along the way.

Nagito followed me in and we sat on the floor together. I offered him something to drink, and just as I was about to get up to start a batch of tea - Nagito insisted that I stay seated - leading himself into my kitchen to start the tea for me.

After a few minutes, Nagito returns with tea for the both of us.

My hand, still slightly shaking, takes the cup from his hands and I take a small sip.

"......"

We stayed quite for a moment, both of us processing everything that just happened.

"It all makes sense." Nagito said slowly.

"What do you mean?"

"Well for starters, do you know why the reserve students are so angry after this email?"

I shook my head no.

"Because the reserve students are the ones funding this school. They pay tuition every year, and that money is suppose to be used for reasonable purchases such as enhancing this schools education and talent system. Nobody knew about the Kamakura Project until today, so obviously the reserve students are upset that their hard earned money is being used for elicit experimentation behind the scenes."

"But why would the school need to experiment? What exactly is this project and why has it been kept a secret?"

Nagito narrowed his eyebrows as he looks deep in my eyes.

"The only person we can really get to answer that question is the one who sent that email. The fact that they sent it with all this information...they clearly already have access to some hidden information, who knows what other things they may know."

The sender of the email huh?

I opened my phone to the email again, hoping to verify who exactly was the sender.

Unfortunately the sender was anonymous. The email address gave no hint as to who the person could be.

Nagito then let out a little hoarse chuckle. His eyes were wide and he stared off into space.

"Ahh, isn't this almost such a coincidence?" He said slowly.

"Huh?"

"How everything seems to be falling together. I'm eager to see just what hope this will bring. Perhaps things will just get worse and worse and eventually someone will come through to give us all the pleasure of hope in the circumstance of impending doom and hopelessness in front of our-"

*smack*

My hand leaves a burning sting across Nagito's face. He holds his cheek looking at me with a stunned expression.

"This isn't a matter to be laughing or obsessing over your stupid hope Nagito. People are dying! Our own classmates have been killed and we don't know why or who done it. God you can be so heartless sometimes..."

I can feel Nagito's gaze, but I refuse to look at him. Nagito has these moments where he trails off talking crazy nonsense - another reason why our class isn't very fond of him. I'm quite use to it at this point though I haven't had time to really worry about why he says these things. I'll have to make note to confront him about it later.

"I-I'm sorry" he said in a low voice.

"Yeah...anyways, I'm scared and I don't know how to comprehend everything right now. First Natsumi is killed, now people in the student council were murdered....and Hajime....maybe he's dead too."
