"The Murphy."
A hand was held out In front of Delilah's face as she had finally opened her eyes, looking around she patted her hands around as the roof of the car was now closer to her than she would of liked. The car had flipped just as Warren had turned under a bridge. The explosion from the laboratory had caused everything to be blown to pieces.
"Delilah, pass me your hand." 10k said to the girl as she unbuckled her seat belt, "Get Doc out first I'll climb out after." She said as her hand rubbed against her forehead, blood smeared across her fingers as an ache formed across her head. "God damnit." She mumbled to herself as she helped Doc climb out of the car.
Then climbing out herself, the girl winced as she stretched, her eyes scanned the outside of the tunnel, pieces were falling from the sky, like it was snow. "Is that snow?" Doc questioned as he held his hand against his still bleeding shoulder. Roberta shook her head as she gripped her gun, "That's not snow. That's ash. Radioactive fallout." Warren replied as she took a step back taking Doc from 10ks arms, the boy knelt down taking everything he could from the car.
Delilah couldn't help but watch him, she was fascinated not just by him, but how the four of them had suddenly clicked back to normal, they always seemed to do that. Like it was normal. "You're bleeding." 10k had said as he walked over to Delilah, his hand gently resting on her cheek as he inspected her head gently, yet the girl laughed lightly, "Says you." She spoke looking at the boy who had blood dripping from his nose, ripping a piece of her dirty shirt she gently wiped underneath his nose, "It's not broken is it?" He asked as he watched Delilah, they were about the same height but he still chose to crouch down slightly for her, she was being so gentle to him, like she would break him at any second.
"It doesn't look broken, no bruises or anything, I think you got lucky." She smiled slightly as the boy took the cloth from her hand and wiped the blood from her head, "Well you, have a gash on your head, must've been from the glass in the car shattering or something but, as a obvious professional doctor, I think you'll be just fine." He smiled before arms wrapped around him, hugging him tightly Delilah sighed into his neck, "That was scary." She mumbled as the boy nodded hugging her back, one moment of bliss the two had wanted for a long time.
