Alex's Pov

After seeing Luna run out of the House, Jackson's reaction and the tail end of their conversation. Everybody knew that Luna and I had slept together, but usually I'd feel a lot better than what I was feeling currently.I wasn't excited about what the next few months were gonna be like. Intern year was hard enough. 

"Well, that's the last time I sleep with someone who works at the hospital," I say before getting hit around the head by April.

Ouch.

"Be serious Karev for once" April said giving me the evils.

"You're acting like I did something wrong, get a grip," I said before heading out grabbing my bag hoping to see Luna before our shifts. 

Well, this is gonna be a long shift today.

Marks POV

"Hey, Derek can you send Karev and Avery my way please when you see them?" Approaching the nurse station that Derek was standing at.

"Them two won't be a good pairing today trust me" He said turning towards me. 

"They worked perfectly fine yesterday, what they fighting over a girl?" I joked smirking. Dereks face dropped when I said that. 

"What girl?" I said in shock. 

"Uh, Luna. Karen and her slept together last night" Derek said sighing slamming down the chart he had in his hands. 

"That is not what I was expecting when I woke up this morning. Karen can go to pets today" I said shaking my head.

Damn Luna.

Webbers POV

"Hi Webber, can I talk to you?" Luna said knocking on Webbers door. 

"You sure can" I said turning his attention away from his computer to Luna. 

"I started on a case when I was in LA and Addison is doing the last surgery this week and I'd really like to be there. I'd need to two weeks" Luna said trying to persuade him. 

"Dr Shepherd, you are the best resident here! I can give you 1 week that's all. Why can't she come back here if that's where it started?" I try to reason with her. 

"Uh 2 weeks or I'll transfer and you'll lose your best resident. And it gives the hospital more press to high will be good and bring in more residents for next year!" She said smiling. 

"Okay fine! And Dr Shepherd don't do that again!"I say before she walks out.

General POV 

The hospital was every quiet today, all of the residents were preoccupied with what happened this morning that they weren't talking to each other. 

Avery and Karen were opposites ends of the Hospital to each other keeping the peace. But they'd all noticed that they didn't have to fight the star resident to scrub in on anything. 

So the Attending's did the only thing they could think of, went to see Webber. 

"Okay, so what do I owe the honour of having all of my Doctors in my office when they should be in Surgery." Webber said taking his glasses off and dropping them on the stack of papers he was looking through.

"Luna?" Derek Asked Webber. Owen, Mark and Derek were all stood in a line opposite him. 

"Yes, what about her?" He answered, confused why they wouldn't know where she went. 

"Where is she? She hasn't answered any of her pages and quite frankly we need her." Mark piped up asking. They all wanted their favourite resident back.

"She requested some time off to go see a case in Los Angeles and I didn't see a reason why not!" He angrily responded. 

"Well, when will she be back?" Owen who was just as interested as the other two to get her back.

"Two weeks. Now I don't pay you guys to stand around and ask questions about a resident, do I? As Dr Shepherd says go save a life or something!"Webber said shooing them away with his hands.

Lunas POV 

After I spoke to Webber I was on autopilot, I'd got my suitcases out and was throwing my stuff in it. It wasn't until I heard a bang downstairs I snapped out of it. 

Looking out my bedroom door I saw Lexie coming up the stairs. 

"Oh Hi Lex" I said scaring her. I giggled as i saw her jump.

"Shhh, Luna I didn't know you were here?" She says shocked.

"Didn't know you were here either! Doesn't your shift finish at 11 pm?" I asked trying to keep her distracted from my room being messy because I was packing. 

"I've um got a headache plus I forgot my pager so came back to get it!" She says and we just stand in silence.

"You can have my last headache patch that's in my cubby if you'd like" I offered smiling. Lexie took a look behind her and gulped. 

"Well uh Ive got to get my pager and head back" Lexie smiled before going to her room. 

I sighed. I was worried that I was doing the wrong thing. 

"Luna, I hope you know I never meant to hurt you. You're still my best friend even if you don't think we are. Text me when you get there" Lexie smiled before heading out. Luna started crying the moment she heard Lexie reverse off the drive. Because she was her best friend and she let a boy get in the way of them. 

As I packed up the rest of my stuff and booked my flight. I took one last glance, and my stomach dropped. Was I doing the right thing? 

But as Derek says I'm a runner. 

By the time Lexie got back to Hospital and let everyone know she saw Luna at the house. Mark and Derek knew she wasn't going to be gone for two weeks. Maybe it was the last time they were going to be seeing her.
