The Doctor's game of baseball started badly, they were all better at performing surgeries than doing sports. 

The Surgeons were more concentrated on their teammates than the other team. Altman was pitching which was a losing battle as she couldn't throw. Jackson was mesmerised with Luna, even though he'd ignored her since their kiss her first night back. Which was going unnoticed by Lexie and Luna. 

Lexie was preoccupied with getting aggravated by Mark and his new girlfriend Julia. Luna on the other hand was happy Mark was happy.

"Come on guys" Lexie shouted getting more annoyed by them but trying to play it off as getting annoyed at the games. Jackson like Luna was happy about Mark's new relationship. Being his resident for the past few months made them a lot closer. 

"He's happy leave him be. I'm happy, We are happy. Aren't we?" Jackson said sitting closer to Lexie. Luna who was sitting at the other end of the bench was listening to their conversation and her heart hurt a little for Jackson because no matter what happened. She cared, and he was going to get hurt. 

"Yeah super super happy.... Come on! Let's play" Lexie said going onto the pitch. Luna saw Jackson's smile falter. 

"She's really competitive" Luna awkwardly laughed, Jackson smiled forgetting his last conversation with Lexie. 

"I always forget she is," Jackson said, he couldn't take his eyes off Luna. She'd plaited her hair and was wearing a cap and she looked beautiful. 

"You know I don't think we have a chance at winning this" Luna admitted sliding across the bench to sit next to Jackson. Jackson laughed at her comment. 

"I don't think we do either" Jackson laughed, they both spoke about the cases they'd been working on completely forgetting they were meant to be playing a game of baseball. 

It was only when Hunt shouted for a huddle they broke out of their bubble. 

"Bring it in! Huddle Up. Alright," Owen shouted motioning for everyone to get into s circle. 

Luna ended up being opposite Jackson in the circle so she could sneak looks at him and the same for her. Lexie was giving Mark glares as she was annoyed he'd moved on she just hadn't admitted it to herself yet. 

"I just want to say how proud I am of all of you. You are an incredible team. I've watched you all work together and solve problems together. I have watched you teach each other and also learn from each other. You step up when you need to and you do more than anyone asks you to do" Owen said speaking from the heart. Everyone else was confused and was frowning at his sudden burst of motivation. 

"You are the finest team I have ever been a part of," Owen said making everyone burst into laughter. These surgeons were not serious in any situation. 

"My god!" Mark pipes up in laughter. 

"That's sad!"  Karev says.

"Beautiful" Bailey adds, you can tell she is tipsy along with Cristina and Meredith. 

"You don't think we have a shot at winning right?" Luna asks laughing, Jackson smiled when he heard her laugh.

"What? This? No. No. We are Screwed. You are all horrible at baseball but what you are is great doctors. And I'm proud to lead you. but you are all here so I thought I'd say it. And we are gonna go down but we will go down fighting okay?" Owen ended his inspiring speech by saying.

"Yes" Torres shouts. The whole team was laughing at smiling with no hope at all in the world that they were gonna win. 

"Okay, One, Two, Three. Go, Team!" They all chanted together.
