Chapter Eight: The Beat Down

I see a hand land on his shoulders, blood is coming out of him as I see claws dig into the stranger.

He lets go of my throat as I take a deep breath and lean on the wall behind me. The shadow leans forward to side eye the stranger in the face. I look up to see the shadow's face. It's... Jinx??

"What the fuck do you think you're doing to my master..?" Jinx says with an angry face as he digs his claws deeper into the stranger's shoulder. He doesn't answer Jinx, he just stands there in shock with a pained expression on his face. Jinx flings his hand backwards and throws the stranger, blood trailing from his claws.

I look up at Jinx and quickly run up and hug him. "Jinx! Thanks for coming..." Jinx kneels down to see me at eye level and smiles. "Of course I did, Master. Are you ok.?" Jinx asks as he puts a hand on my shoulder. I nod slowly. "Yes, I'm fine..."

"Good."

"How did you know I was in trouble anyway..?" I ask, confused. He looks at me. "I can sense when something's not right with you. I felt your tension rise. So I quickly flew over here to see what was wrong." He answered.

Suddenly, his face got serious. "Now I'm going to make that human pay for what he did..." He said, menacingly. "Wait what.?" I ask.

"He hurt you, so I'm gonna fuck him up for that." Jinx answered me. "T-That's not necessary Jinx.. It's fine.." I say with a nervous smile. Jinx stands up straight and turns to where he threw the stranger. "Time for you to suffer." I hear Jinx say to him. The stranger gets up slowly with a scared look on his face. He looks at Jinx and backs up.

"H-Hey man, I'm sorry!" Says the stranger. Jinx looks down at him with no mercy in his eyes. He grabs his throat and smirks evilly. "Sorry ain't gonna cut it. Isn't that what you said.?" Jinx says. The stranger's eyes widen as he tries to struggle out of Jinx's grip. Jinx punches him in the face and he goes flying towards the wall and drops to the ground.

He slowly sits up as he puts his arms up as defense. "Y-You're not human..." He struggles to say. Jinx looks down at him with a menacing smile. "NO I'M NOT!!" He yells loudly at him. Jinx walks up to him as the stranger whimpers in fear for his life. He starts kicking the stranger in the stomach repeatedly. "OW!" The stranger screams in pain. Jinx keeps kicking him nonstop as he laughs evilly as loud as he can.

"S-Stop!!" The stranger screams as Jinx starts clawing at him and leaving him in cuts. "Leave me alone..!"

I'm all the way at the end of the alley watching Jinx beat the life out of this man. It's kind of shocking, I haven't seen him go this wild before. I do sometimes forget he's a demon. But still...

"Jinx.. Don't you think you're taking it too far..? I think he's had enough.." I say as I get nervous. He doesn't listen to me. "Jinx..?"

Jinx grabs the stranger by his bloody shirt and puts his sharp claws to his throat. "I will slice your fucking throat wide open.." Jinx says as he puts more pressure on his neck and blood starts trickling out. "N-No.. Please.. Get away!!" Says the stranger shaking and full of tears.

My eyes widen. "Jinx!" You're gonna kill him!" I yell at him. I quickly run up behind him and grab him by his sides. "Oi stop!" I yell as I try to get him to hear me. I start pulling him to try and get him off the man. He's really heavy, so he's not budging. "Let him go!!" I scream as I keep pulling him as hard as I can.

I hear him growl lowly and shake a bit.

Suddenly, Jinx quickly turns to look at me and raises a fist. "Shut up!" He screams at me. I put my arms in defense and my eyes widen.
