Chapter Thirty-Nine: Amnesia

               I was asleep with Jinx's arms wrapped around me, until I feel movement. "Ah... Why does my head  hurt..?" I hear Jinx say. "F-Fuck!" He yells. I slowly open my eyes and look up at him. "Jinx..? What's wrong..?" I ask. He looks down at me with pained eyes. "Did I wake you? Sorry Master.. I just have a strange headache." He explains.

              I lift my hand up to caress his cheek. "A-Are you ok..? You never get headaches." I ask, concerned. "Yeah, I'm ok Master.. A-Ah.." I look at him with worried eyes, wondering what I could do to help. "Fuck!" Jinx yells. It makes me flinch. "Get off." He says as he shoves me off of him. "Ah-" I fall to the ground. "Jinx.." Next thing I know, Jinx screams in pain at the top of his lungs.

         He crouches down and holds his head. I slowly stand up and walk up to him. "Jinx..? Are you ok..?" I ask as I reach a hand out and put it on his shoulder. He turns his head and gives me a weird look. "Human." Jinx refers to me. "H-Human..? Why are you calling me that?" I ask. "Because that's what you are. I don't know your name." Jinx says as he stands up.

     "You don't remember me..?" I ask. "No, I don't know you. I don't know why I'm here. I should get back to Hell." My heart sinks. "W-Wait.. What do you mean? Don't leave me.." I plead with him. I start tearing up. I go up to him and cling to his chest. "Please.. I need you.. You have to  remember me..!"

      "I said I don't know you, human! Get off!" Jinx says as he shoves me to the ground. I fall to the floor and look back at him with tears in my eyes. I see him open a portal and start to walk through. "Jinx no!" I yell to him as I extend my hand out. Then he goes through and it disappears.

       "W-What do I do now..?" I look at the ground and start to cry hard. "I feel sick.. I don't want to be alone.. Fuck..." I say to myself as my breathing gets heavier. I'm starting to panic. I don't want to lose him. What do I do..? I just sit there on the floor crying. "Who do I go to for this..?" I question myself. I'm about to lose hope, until I remember something.

      I gasp and look up. "Maybe Jinx's friend Aldinach..!" I stand up, trying to figure out how to contact him. I don't even know if he's still in this world or if he went back to Hell. I don't even know him very well to be asking him to help me. I don't have much of a choice. I'll have to hope that he's still on Earth and close by. "How do I contact him though?"

      Maybe if I scream his name, his demon ears will hear me... I'll have to go outside first, but it's pouring and it's nighttime. I don't have a choice. I open the door and run outside in the pouring rain. "Aldinach!!" I yell as I run all over with tears in my eyes. I really hope he hears me. "Aldinach please! I need you!"

      I keep running for a couple minutes. "Aldinach!" I yell. Suddenly, I run into something in the darkness. "Huh...?" I say confused as I look up. Aldinach.... "Jinx's master..? What are you doing in the rain? Why'd you call my name so frantically?" He asks as he looks down at me. "Jinx seemed like he lost his memory and doesn't remember me and went back to Hell! I-I don't know what to do!!" I explain in a panic with tears in my eyes.

      He kneels down to my level and grabs my arms. "Hey, hey.. Breathe.. You're saying he went back to Hell?" Aldinach asks. "Y-Yes... I-I think he got his memory erased until before he met me and he was still in Hell. I just want him back..." I explain. "Don't worry, I'll help you." My eyes widen. "You will?!" I ask, shocked.

     "Of course. When me and Jinx met up that one day, he told me that he'd trust me to protect you if he wasn't able to. So I'm going to help you. And put your hoodie on or you'll get sick since you're soaked." Aldinach says as he grabs my hoodie and puts it on me. I blush lightly and smile. "Thank you!" I say as I hug him. "Heh, no problem. Now let's get you out of the rain and into Hell." He says as he pats my head.

     "You ready?" He asks. "Y-Yes..." I say nervously. Jinx never took me to Hell, so it'll be my first time there. I'm a little anxious and scared...
