Chapter Nineteen: Life On The Line

      He holds my wrist and starts walking as I follow along. "Now let's get out of here." Jinx says. "Ok Jinx!" We're walking to the exit when I suddenly feel a sharp pain in my stomach and I cough hard. I see blood coming out of my mouth as I cough and I fall to my knees.

      Jinx's eyes widen as he lets go off my wrist and turns around. He sees me on my knees, shaking with pain on the floor as I bleed from my mouth. "MASTER! What's wrong?!" He yells concerned as he kneels down and grabs my arms. Since I'm looking straight down, my blood is dripping onto his forearms. "M-My stomach really hurts..." I struggle to say.

     He carefully picks me up and holds me in his arms. "Something must've happened to your stomach from being hit too much... Coughing up blood is never a good sign.." Jinx says as he quickly walks out the building, trying not to move me too much. I close my eyes and hold my stomach.

     "We're outside now." He lets me know. Jinx looks around the area and spots what he's looking for. "Hey you!" Jinx says to May, who was waiting outside like Jinx instructed. She looks up and sees us. "Huh?? You're finally out!" May says. "Go run to her house, I can't fly you back. Master is seriously injured." He says. "Uh oh, ok..." She responds.

     When she replies, Jinx flies up as fast as he can and starts taking me somewhere. "I'm taking you to a hospital." He informs me as he keeps flying quickly. I look up at him weakly. "H-How will we pay for that though..?" I ask. "Who said we're paying..?" Jinx says with a smirk. I look at him nervously. "B-But-!"

     "Your life is on the line master. I'll do whatever it takes." He says, cutting off my sentence. I don't argue with him, so I accept it. "I appreciate it..." I said. We finally reach the hospital. He looks down at me. "Just leave this to me. Relax in my arms." He instructs. Jinx barges into the hospital doors and everyone looks at us. "Someone help her! She's coughing up a lot of blood!" He yells.

      A person behind the reception counter looks at us. "Sir, you need an appointment to get immediate help. And you can't yell in here." He responds to Jinx. He closes his eyes and sighs deeply as he sets me down gently on a chair. "Sit here for a second" Jinx says. I look up at him, already expecting the worst to come out of him. "W-Wait..!" I try to stop him.

     Jinx turns to the people in the reception counter and bares his fangs at them. "I don't give a FUCK. She's bleeding out through her mouth, something's wrong with her organs! She could DIE!!" Jinx yells at them. One guy at the counter stands and slams his hands down. "Sir! You have to wait." He says again.

    Jinx quickly walks up to the desk and slams a fist down on it. "There is no waiting!!" He screams. He violently grabs the shirt of the guy as he shows him his claws and brings it closer to his neck. "I will kill you and everyone here. DON'T FUCK WITH ME and help my master!" Jinx commands. The reception guy looks terrified.

     Suddenly, a security guard runs up to Jinx and puts a hand on his shoulder from behind. "HEY! You can't do that!" The security guard yells to him. Jinx swings his free hand at the security guard with fire and burns his entire hand. The security guards yells in pain and lets go of Jinx.

     "I will burn everyone alive if I don't get a yes in the next 30 seconds." He warns as he raises his hand full of fire. Everyone starts worrying and groveling in fear at him. "If only you humans can sense danger from the start... I always have to bring the fire out.." He says. "So what's it going to be? 10 seconds left." Jinx says and he starts counting down.

     One of them puts their hands up in a surrendering motion. "O-Ok!! We'll help! Let us get a doctor.." He says as he instructs one to find a doctor and they quickly run to find one. Jinx puts the fire out and smirks. "Hm, seems you're smart at least. Good." He says. I cough violently after trying to hold it in. I see the blood running out my mouth.

     Jinx's eyes widen. He runs towards me and kneels down. "Master! Please breathe.. We're getting you help." He says to me. I do as he says and I try to breathe deeply. Jinx grabs my arms to reassure me, as my blood drips down onto his arm. "S-Sorry for getting blood on you.." I apologize. Jinx shakes his head. "Master, please don't worry about that.. I don't care about blood on me." He reassures me. I see the receptionist peeking over Jinx's shoulder. He looks at me worried, seems like he noticed I'm really not doing well.

    "Come." Jinx says as he carefully picks me up in his arms. He holds me tightly as he looks down at me with a worried expression. "We got a doctor." A worker says to us. A doctor comes out and starts walking through a door. Jinx follows him. I lean my head on his shoulder as I cough again and get blood on his back.

     "We're almost there master.." He tells me. "O-Ok.." We make it to the room the doctor was taking us to. "Alright, set her down on that table." The doctor instructs. Jinx does as he says and sets me down as he stands next to me. I hold my stomach in pain. "So what's wrong?" The doctor asks. "She's been coughing up blood violently and it hasn't stopped. She said her stomach really hurts." Jinx explains.

      The doctor thinks for a second. "Is there anything she's done lately to possibly cause this?" He asks. Jinx looks away. "Well... She got kidnapped. We just came from me rescuing her. Her kidnappers apparently punched and kicked her stomach repeatedly." He explains. The doctor looks at Jinx concerned. "Huh?? I didn't think it was that serious.. But what about her kidnappers?" He asks, worried.

     Jinx looks at the doctor in the eyes. "Ah, no need to worry about them. The 40 of them are dead." He says dead serious. "How??" He asks. Jinx starts smirking menacingly. "I killed them all easily for hurting my master." Jinx answers. The doctor suddenly gets a horrified expression on his face. "W-What..? Murderer!!" He screams.

    He walks up to the doctor and stands in front of him, towering over him easily. "Shut your mouth. They were horrible to my master. If someone you love got kidnapped and attacked, you'd want them dead too. I'm just capable to execute it." Jinx says with an angry look on his face. "Besides, human laws don't apply to me. I'm a demon." He smirks.

     The doctor backs away slowly. "I-I knew you couldn't be human.." He says. I cough again, bringing pain all over my body. Jinx walks up to me. "My master is human though, so stop talking and help her already!!" Jinx commands. "O-Ok!" The doctor says as he starts walking to me and tells Jinx to back up a litte.

    "Lay down." The doctor tells me. Jinx watches cautiously as he doesn't trust others. I lay down as the doctor says to do and I look up at him. He puts his hand on my stomach and starts pressing down on areas to see where the pain resides. "Does it hurt when I push down here?" He says as he presses down on it.

    A wave of piercing pain shoots all over my body and I cough up a lot of blood. "Master!!" I hear Jinx yell. I accidentally swallow the blood since I'm laying down and I start choking.
