Chapter Forty-Five: The Demon Huntress

     There are certain people who are called demon hunters. Sometimes rumors from Hell and the human world reach them, so they hunt for the demons that are 'causing trouble'. They were hearing of a demon in the human world, that has stayed there for far too long. He has red hair, red fur on his lower half. Fangs, wings. Golden glowing eyes. Jinx.

They know that a small human girl is always around him, but they don't know if she's forced by the demon to stay, or if they're friends. Either way, they want to kill him.

Demon Hunter POV-

My name is Venci, and I'm a demon huntress, I'm new at it. They gave me a task to hunt this demon in the human world with a girl. They gave me a description of him and off I go. I was told where to go to find him, and here I am. "I see him. And I see the human girl he's supposedly always with." I say as I slowly walk up to them. I'm a bit nervous to get close to him, but I can handle it. I've killed demons before.

      He spots me and looks right at me. "H-Hi!" I say nicely, trying to not out myself as an enemy. "Who are you?" He says to me. The human girl behind him looks at me confused as she holds the demon's arm. I don't think she's being forced to stay with him, from what it looks like. "The golden eyes, the fangs..." I think to myself as I analyze him. "My name is Venci, and um, I saw you in the distance. I just wanted to say hi because you look.. hot.." I lie. I circle around him to see more of him. "The wings, the fur.. yup, that's him." I think.

       He looks at me suspiciously. I touch his wings and he quickly turns and grabs my wrist. "What are you doing?" He says with a bit of annoyance in his voice.

(Y/N)'s POV-

      This girl looks a bit suspicious. Who is she? She thinks he's hot so she came over to say hi? It is true Jinx is hot, but still... When he grabbed her wrist, her face changed a bit. It wasn't a nice face. I saw something form in her hand, it looks like a knife...?

       Suddenly, she swings her hand with the knife at Jinx as she pulls her wrist away from his grip. Me and Jinx both back away in shock. This Venci girl gets in a fighting stance with the knife pointed towards us. "Demon...! I'm the hunter which will kill you!" She yells. Jinx gets serious and steps in front of me as he ignites his fist on fire.

"Ah, a demon hunter... What are you guys exactly?" Jinx asks with a smirk. Demon hunter..? I didn't know that was a thing.. "Well, I'm not an angel, but I'm a being that God's given special pure abilities to, so I can get rid of you demons." She answers confidently. But it doesn't faze Jinx. "Well, your little pureness is about to disintegrate..." he says ominously.

Venci's face gets angry. "Hmph, and what's that mean..?" She asks. "Oh, don't worry about that, sweetie.." Jinx taunts. She growls at him. "Shut up!" Venci says as she swings the knife at him. But it's useless. Jinx swiftly grabs her wrist and the knife falls out of her hand. "Ah!" She exclaims. "You can't hurt me..." Jinx says as he brings his other hand that's ignites with flames closer to her neck. She whimpers in fright. I thought I was about to see her get burned to death, but then Jinx stops and points to her pin on her shirt.

I forgot Jinx is like this. He loves to taunt his enemies by making them think he's going to kill them. He loves to see the fear in them. She looks down at her pin he's pointing to. "You're new right? I can tell from the pin you have on." He says. She looks shocked that he knows. "Y-Yes I am.." She answers. She starts backing up to try and get Jinx to let go of her wrist, but her back reaches a wall.

"F-Fuck, a wall..." She says under her breath. "You know, they did you dirty by letting a newbie take this job. You don't stand a chance against me. Maybe other demons, yes. But I'm on a whole different level." He tells her. "L-Let me go..." Venci says nervously. "And why should I? You attacked me and put my Master in danger." She looks away anxiously. "I-I didn't know you were really powerful... I-I'll leave." She says.

"Oh sweetie... I'm really strong. You don't know who you messed with. I have a lot of experience." Jinx taunts as he looks down at her with the angriest look, as if she was an insignificant little ant. A nuisance. Her face changes to a terrified look. "O-Oh... is that so?" She asks. "That's right." All you see in Venci's face at this point, is true despair. "I-I'm really sorry for bothering you..! I'll go now!" She says as she yanks her wrist away and does a quick chant. She disappears.

Jinx turns to me. "Well that was annoying." He says. I look up at him a bit shocked. "Jinx, did you have to scare her that badly..?" I ask. He nods. "Yes, or else they won't learn to not mess with you." He responds. "How do you know so much about demon hunters though.? You even knew their ranks. I didn't even know they existed." I say.

Jinx sighs. "When you live long, you learn a lot. They've tried to hunt me before. I learned about all their ranks and everything, so I can frighten them with my knowledge. And guess what? It works." He says with a smirk.

Venci's POV-

I teleported back to the headquarters. I couldn't take him on, he's terrifying.. I kneel on the floor as I breathe heavily from the panic. I hear footsteps come up to me. "We're disappointed in you.." They say. I look up and see the higher-ups looking down at me. "We thought you could handle it." She says. They don't understand how strong he is... I stand up frantically. "B-But he's not to be messed with..! He's crazy strong.." I say.

"No, you retreated back here without even fighting him. You left without a scratch on you. You let his threats get to you." She argues with me. "Ah-" I say in a panic. "Get back over there." She commands. "Y-Yes ma'am..." I start tearing up. I don't want to go back over there.. He's going to kill me... He's something else, but I don't know what.
