One night you're sitting in your room. Your boyfriend, Ashton Irwin, is the hottest jock but also has the biggest ego in the school. You are only dating him because he is nice to you and helps you through so much. One night, your best friend, Luke Hemmings, starts talking to you.

He types for a few minutes as you wait. Soon the bubble disappears.

You wait, but no response. You start worrying and grab your keys and run to get your shoes on when you hear your phone ring again.

You sigh, then see that you got a text from Ash.

Good, good. Sorry I didn't reply. I'm seriously so sorry.

You go downstairs to no food and a sticky note on the counter.
"I had to work a second shift again tonight, couldn't make dinner. Eat leftovers or nothing at all. I will be checking the fridge. - Mumzy"
You don't want to eat leftovers considering your picky diet consists of no microwaved food. You check your phone and realized Ash tried calling you. Of course, you weren't paying attention much and now he was gonna be upset.

Yep he's pissed. Great. Just what you wanted on a night alone. This always happens. You can't help but think "Ugh, I hate myself. I do this and I don't even mean to. I ruin everything. Luke shouldn't be feeling this way, it should be me."
You leave the house, needing to get air. You do to the park and see two guys you can only tell from behind. The biggest bullies in the whole school. You try to hide behind a giant tree before they see you, but by the time you take a peek, you see that they have already put their cigarettes up and thrown the butts on the ground. They start walking your way and you start to run.
"Y/N, you can't run forever!" Michael shouts behind you, and you hear another voice you recognize yell, "Yeah, just wait!"
You get to your house and shut and lock the door.
The same voice, which you could tell was Calum's, yells "Unlock the doors, we know you're in there. We just need to talk darling."
You sit there all night listening to them yell through the door when you drift off to sleep.
A few hours later you hear the door unlock and you are scared that they found the spare key. Before checking, you run up to the bathroom and lock the door. You sit and cry, waiting for them to barge in the door. Then, the handle starts shaking. You hear your breath catch up and the handle doesn't stop. You left your phone in your room, so you can't call anyone. Then a hand hits the door that makes you jump, and you let out a quiet shriek.
"Y/N, is that you in there?" You hear your mother ask.
You open the door and fall into her arms. "Thank god, it's just you." You say, hugging her.
"You scared me to death, why were you in the dark bathroom?" You couldn't even talk anymore, so you didn't. Instead you rush to bed and go to sleep, with the horrible thoughts of thinking that maybe, just maybe, Ash was going to break up with you soon as everyone had said. He was too cool for you, and the hottest guy in the whole school. How he likes you, surprised everyone, including you. He didn't say he loved you back, which stung so much.
Luke too, he is pissed off at you as well. You guys can't hang out anymore due to off shifts. You guys are starting to drift away.
Michael and Calum, yes they are probably going to show up after your mum leaves in the morning and wait for you to leave for work, then beat you up and call you names. Then next week you'll go to school and they'll beat you up every night before you leave the school.
"Why, just, why did this life have to be mine?" You say, then fall to a deep sleep.

Haii guys. It's a late update and I'm so tired and down lately. I honestly don't know why, but it's only when I get home and it gets dark. It used to be that the dark made me happy, but I guess my music isn't helping like it used to because I gave broken EVERY. LAST. PAIR. That I have owned.
Ugh I hate boys. This actually, kind of relates to something that happened earlier but it's okay.
