Today you had to go to the doctors office for a check up. Every time you go, it gets worse and worse.

There isn't anything wrong with you, but it usually ends up turning your day into a bad one. Most of the time, the reason being you had to go to work afterwards, and would be late. Or you would have to reschedule on a day that your girlfriends wanted you all to go hang out. The doctors always just have to ruin those things.

You get to the office and the lady has you go sit in the waiting room. Why you constantly come to these check ups, you don't know.

You get up to use the restroom, and as you walk towards the restrooms near the entrance, there is a young man who looks only 21 or 22 that rushes in. He has brown, curly hair that is short and messy. It looked like he just woke up and he had the most worried look on his face. He ran right past you, and you continued to the rest room.

After half an hour, they finally call your name in. You go back, and the doctor tells you that there will be a trainee working with you.
"Ok, Ms. Y/N, this is the trainee I was telling you about, Dr. Irwin. Dr. Irwin, this will be your first patient. If you need anything, I will be outside of the room." Your old doctor says, then walks out and shuts the door behind her.

He looks oddly familiar, and you realize that he is the guy you saw walk in earlier.

"I am new at this," he says with the most adorable Australian accent ever, "so if I am doing anything wrong, please say something." You giggled at the fact that he was nervous, and then his cheeks immediately go red.

"It's fine, it's only a check up. Plus, I don't think a guy like you could possibly hurt a girl like me." You say in a flirtatious way. He catches on and finally gives a wide smile that moves all the way up to his cheek bones. You couldn't help but smile at his cute smile.

"Well we better get started." He says, still smiling and gets everything ready.

"Everything looks good Y/N. You have nothing wrong and are just as healthy as the last time you came in. I'm going to go print off your slip that tells you when you will be back. I will be back in a few minutes." He says, then rushed out of the room.

The whole check up, you were both staring at each other intensely.
"I don't know why he was so nervous, he did everything fine." You mumble to yourself and he walks back in with a folded slip in his hand.

"Uh- Here is the slip. I- I'll go now. Your check up is done, but have a nice day." He says awkwardly while scratching the back of his neck. He hands you the slip and then waves.

As you walk out the door, you look down at the slip. It says, "My name is Ashton, call me sometime" and has his number on it. You laugh at how he could do that but not give you a normal check up.

Maybe the doctors office isn't so bad after all.

As soon as you get home, you call him and he picks up. You smile and realize that this might be a start of something new.
