Kara didn't sleep well that night, not only did she have the new information that lacy gave to her, but she now had to deal with the fact that her and Simmon kissed again, and this time she was the one that kissed him. She still wasn't sure how she felt about him and she promised Vicky she wouldn't mess with his feelings. She knew she felt something for simmon but she didn't know if it was something strong enough to pursue, strong enough to risk not just their friendship, but also Vickys and hers as well. It was now morning and Kara was just sitting on her bed, a notebook in her lap as she was writing down math equations and solving them. Sighing she set the note book aside, deciding that maybe she needed advice. Leaving her own room, she makes her way to Saddie's room. All her siblings were getting ready for school, and through Saddie's shit door She could hear her sister talking to someone. She knocked on her door, and she couldn't make out any words until her sister got closer to the door. "Yeah, I got to go, love you, yeah, see you soon, bye." She opens the door, and for just a second Kara can see a slightly annoyed look on her face before she replaces it with a smile. "Hey, what's up?"
Kara wonders if maybe her sister's annoyed with her and was just trying not to show it. "I was gonna ask you for some advice, but you seem busy.." she starts to turn around.
Saddie reaches out for her, "no it's fine," Kara stops and turns back around. "I've been trying to end that conversation for like twenty minutes. Come in," she steps away from the door, walking over to her bed to sit down. Her back pack is sitting on the ground at the foot of the bed, next to her flats.
Kara follows her in, sitting down in a chair that wasn't far from her bed. She pulls her legs up and wraps her arms around them. "I did something stupid," Kara starts.
"Oh?" Saddie says raising an eyebrow. She may have only known her sister for a week and a half, but from what she knows about her, if she says she did something stupid, it's definitely going to be interesting.
Kara lays her head down on her knees, "I kissed simmon last night." Saddie doesn't say anything, Wondering when her sister could have kissed a boy that lives on the other side of town, without any of her siblings even knowing he was here. "I. Called him because I was upset about what Lacy told me and I just didn't want to think about it, or anything, so I kissed him. It was a mistake and I don't know how to fix it."
Saddie narrows her eyes a bit, "what did lacy tell you?"
Kara lifts her head up, "just about why there aren't any pictures of me, but I don't want talk about that, can you please tell me what to do?"
Saddie doesn't say anything for a moment, thinking about how she'll have to have a talk with Lacy later. She sighs, "alright, why do you think it was a mistake?"
Kara waits a moment to respond, "because Vicky is my best friend and Simmon is her brother and he's like my second best friend. So if I dated him and it ended badly, I'd loose him and I'd strain Vickys and mines friendship. If we don't date, then I just left him on, which will hurt him and meaning I could loose him anyway, and Vicky would be pissed with me."
Saddie nods now understanding the situation, "Kara, I'm pretty sure you like simmon more then your letting on, he's the pets you called when you were upset and wanted comfort. It seems to me your just scared." She says, straight forward, "but you can't let your fear of what could happen stop you."
Kara thinks for a moment, "but what about Nate?"
"That kid, forget him, he found out that someone else liked you and gave up. He's not worth it, if you ask me, but ultimately it's your choice I guess." She then looks down at her phone to see a text message, before standing up, slipping her shoes in and grabbing her backpack. "I have to go now, but if you still want to talk more, we can I get home from cheese practice tonight."
