Standing in the kitchen after what just happened with simmon, the boy Kara hadn't even considered as an option, but had just kissed, Kara bites her lip, thinking about what she should do now. She liked Nate, who was cute and funny and sweet, and she had a date with Saturday. Except Simmon, had such soft lips and he cared about her, and listened. He was pretty close to being her second best friend, after Vicky of course, and he had always been there for her. This morning, if asked to pick between Nate or Simmon, romantically, she would have said Nate, without a doubt. But now, she doesn't know, simmon can't be an option though, he was Vickys brother.

It wasn't until someone cleared their throat that she realized she wasn't in the kitchen alone, look up in shock she sees Saddie, who watches her with a slight, amused smile on her face. "So, what was that about?"

Eyes wide, "what was what about, nothing happened, simmon just had to leave and I uh, wanted to get back inside before mom and dad check the porch and freaked out." She starts to walk back to the living room, avoiding eye contact with her sister.

"Mm, okay," Saddie says, not convinced even in the slightest.

When Kara enters the living room her father looks at her confused, he had been helping Sophie with her homework, "when did you come in, I've been in the living room this entire time?"

"I came in through the back," Kara explains, glancing at Saddie when she says something under her breath, but she wasn't able to hear what it was.

"Can you finish helping my with my homework?" Sophie asks, and Kara nods sitting back down. Her father watching her for a moment longer before standing up and entering the kitchen, to not over crowd her. After he leaves Sophie leans in and whispers, "I asked him to help me with my homework so he would stop spying on you and that cute boy."

Kara's face heats up a bit, "I don't think simmon's cute," she says and Sophie raised her eyebrows.

"Well then you must need glasses," she shakes her head before turning back to her homework.

Later that evening Kara was sitting in the living room on the couch studying when her mother walks in. "Hey, sweetie, I'm about to make dinner, do you wanna help me?"

"Mmm, no," she says, not bothering to look up from her history textbook, taking notes in a notebook. She had been ignoring her parents all day, not really happy with them keeping something so major from her.

"What are you doing?" Her mother's asks, leaning over the couch to look at what she was doing.

"I'm studying, my suspension is up tomorrow and that means I can go back, and I have a test in history tomorrow." She continues to take notes, turning ba page in her book.

"You were suspended," then her mother shakes her head, "you know what, it doesn't matter, but I have to tell you something."

She sounds like she's about to give her bad news and Kara finally looks up. "What?" Thinking to her self, what more could there possibly be?

"We don't live in the district for you to go to Grandview high," she starts and Kara stands up. "We were going to enroll you at Williams on Monday." She finishes noticing that Kara clearly wasn't happy.

"What, that's so not fair, why do I have to change schools, is there like and extenuating circumstances thing or something?!" She says getting upset, she was not going to go to a new school where everyone knew about her solely from the story of her kidnapping they most likely whispered behind her siblings backs.

"Grandview high is completely on the other side of town, it's a thirty minutes drive, fourty with morning traffic. Your brother and sisters ride the bus because I have to get to work at the same time they're leaving for school, there wouldn't be a way to take you everyday." Her mother explains calmly, hoping she'll see it the way she does.
