"Mother? Mother?" I call out, my voice is barley a squeak but I know she will hear it. I sniff around until mothers paw directs me to her.
"Thank you mother." I begin to suckle for who knows how long before yawning. "How long till my eyes open mother?"
"Your ears unfolded yesterday, it shouldn't be too long."
I make a growling noise and attempt to open my eyes again, nothing, absolutely nothing. I don't know where I am. I think it a nice place, it is very warm and I feel like it will be a great place to live.
Mum told me I need to call myself Lunar. Lunar is my name. I try and open my eyes again but no luck. "Mum! They won't open!"
"Be patient dear, why don't you take a rest. Maybe they will open when you wake up?"
I sigh and nod, pressing close to mothers side and drifting off to sleep.

I wake up in the same position I fell asleep in, pressed against mother. I try my eyes again but once again there is no luck. I hear voices, voices that aren't my mothers.
"Awake are we darling? Time to run some tests on you." I feel a warm, smooth, squishy thing take me away from mother. I let out a wail to mother but she doesn't seem to hear me.
I am placed on another smooth thing, but this one is cold and hard. I feel these... creatures poking and prodding at my body. I still cannot open my eyes but I let out a loud caterwaul at a sharp pain in my back.
I feel something go into my body and the feeling is like pure torture. After much more prodding I am finally returned to my mother. I cuddle close to her and let out cries at the pain.
"Shh darling, why don't you try your eyes again." I try and open my eyes, expecting a fail like usual but instead my eyes slowly blink open.
