"Where's mother?" I ask Juliet's mother when we get back from yet another butcher raid.
"She went out for a walk just after you left. She said she would be back soon," Juliet's mother says with a yawn. "Ah well, she might have to miss out on this," I say with a shrug as I sit down with my portion of the fish, starting to eat.
"We managed that rather easily this time didn't we?" Juliet says to me. "Yeah! More so then usual since the human wasn't in," I say. We all chuckle at this. "You and your mother have been here for six months now haven't you?" one of mothers friends asks me. "Yes, we have been settling in well thanks to you all being so welcoming," I say with a smile.
"So, have you laid your eyes on any tomcats?" another one says. I laugh "Not yet, Juliet here has though," I say, giving her a playful nudge. She blushes and nods.
"Someone's been hanging out with Josh from the Seto Toms!" She whacks me. "Ooh Juliet give us all the details," one of them says. I laugh at them and shake my head "Speak of the devil."
"Hello Juliet," Josh says with a smile "Want to hang out?" Juliet looks at us "You don't mind do you?" We shake our heads and she runs off with Josh.
"Well, I'm off for a nap. Later chikas." I say, wandering over to the little hollow under the building and settling down.

"LUNAR! LUNAR COME QUICK!"
I jolt awake at the sound of Juliet's cry. "WHAT!?"
"IT'S YOUR MOTHER!"
I run outside to see all of the she-cats gathered around. "I found her by the side of the road, outside the human butcher place. She has been hit by one of those fast moving human machines," Juliet's mother says solemnly.
I rush over to mothers side and fall down beside her, nudging her with my nose. "Mother! No, please! You can't leave me!" She lets out a small cough as she rasps out "Lunar, you are destinied for great things. Do not let my death stop you in your path. You will get there!"
Tears are streaming down my face "No, Mother! It is not your time!" "It is, my darling, you shall live on. Goodbye, my precious, precious daughter." Her eyes close and the slight rise and fall of her chest stops.
My voice drops to a whisper "Goodbye, Mother." The other she-cats try to comfort me but I stay by my mothers cold body.
"I will make you proud," I whispers as the moon rises above the Earth "Very proud."
