Chapter 34
"I am sorry i didnt let you meet her before but the thing was there were so many people looking for you i just couldn't get her". Kabir said while driving his hand holding hers tightly as she started becoming anxious and excited at the same time.

I couldn't say anything to that i didnt know what to say.

After a few minutes we arrived at a small hospital with my heart beating fast kabir led me through many door and corridors and we finally stopped at a room kabir motioned me to go inside first. With shaky hands i turned the knob around and pushed the door open.

Inside looked all expensive with machines beeping and all walls painted with white and a  bedplaced near a window. My eyes landed on the figure laying on the bed and i quickly ran near it.

Mom was laying there with her eyes closed and multiple salines attached to her arm. Her eyes were closed as her breathing was low. 

Tear streamed down my face as i took her hand in mine, i placed a soft kiss on her forehead and found drops of water on her forehead after a few seconds i realised the water was running down my eyes and on her forehead. I quickly sat down near her kissing her hands.

"Mom..." i cried silently on her hand.
"I love you so much" i said kissing her forehead and the back of her hand. 

I stayed like that for an hour or two looking at her face and taking every detail in.

"I missed you so much..." I said and then i felt a moment on my hand i looked up to see she was already looking at me i quickly stood up.

"Mom..how are you feeling? Are you ok?" I managed to ask.

With shaking hand she slowly pulled out the oxygen mask. "Beta.."  She croaked out. Her hand coming to caress my cheek with tears running down her eyes and disappearing in her hairline.

"Yes mom?" I replied with never ending tears.

"I-I l-love y-you s-so much a-and i am s-so proud of you". She managed to say as more tears cameout and i kissed her hand.

"I love you more mom". I kissed her forehead.
Her breathing became harsh and i made her wear the oxygen mask but she refused.

"I w-want t-to ta-lk to y-you". She croaked.

"Get well and all healthy and then we will talk all day". I said trying to make her understand and she didnt denied and i put the mask on.

She kept on holding my hand tightly without saying a word she kept on looking at me with a strange twinkle on her eyes which i wanted to see so badly.

We both said nothing just kept on looking at eachother talking with our eyes for a long time.

Her fingeres caressed my hand and finger one by one and she came across my ring finger. She felt the metal of the ring on her thumb and looked at it.

Sure she must be curious and what would i even tell her? That i got married without my consent? Sure i was in love with him but this marriage was forceful. I couldn't tell that to her she will be so sad and i dont want to think what will happen when she is already this weak.

"Are you hungary? Wait you must be, i will bring you some porridge". I said trying to change the subject but she wasnt having it.  She pulled me towards her and demanded with her eyes.

I tried to calm my racing heart. "Let's talk after you are healthy....tomorrow or day after tomorrow... we have a lot of time". I said as calmly as i could muster.

She seemed to understand as her grip on my wrist losen.

I stood up to bring her some porridge.

Kabir was standing on the doorway listening to everything. His heart clenched listening to their conversation. He was the reason for all of that. He kidnapped her and then forced her to marry him and all she asked was to meet her mother and he didnt even let her meet her.

She opened the door gasping when she realised he was there.

"I am so-" he started but was cut off by her.
"Lets talk later... tomorrow or day after tomorrow, let's talk then". She said sofly Her voice didnt hold any harted or anger but he could tell that she was hurt.

She turned to walk away but kabir held her and forwarded a bag.

"Porridge". Was his simple reply.

With her eyes teary she took the bag from him and went inside the room slowly closing the door behind her.

She slowly placed it on a tray and help her mom to sit upstraight.

Her condition was worse before because she was nervouse and just woken up for consious, now she was ok and the doctors allow light food.

She removed the mask and i quickly forwarded a spoon full of porridge.
"Have you eaten". She asked me not taking  the bite.

I didn't say anything and she understood that i didnt.

"I will only eat when you will". Saying that she pushed the spoon on my lips.
I smiled gently and ate it.

After eating a couple bites she again asked.
"Are you not wanting to tell me about the ring? Its looks expensive and there is no way that you bought that".

True i didnt.

"Lets talk after eating". I still didnt know how to reply to that.

"Dont change the topic tell me". She was persistant sure she deserved to know about that but how could i just tell her that i got married so suddenly and didnt even tell her she will feel betrayed and will probably suspect.

"Mom i-i got married". I told her looking at my lap in shame.

She put her hand to her mouth as she gasped and then quickly tried to hide it.

"When? To whom? And you didnt told me? Where did you get the money for all the preparations?" She asked in one breath.

"Mom lets talk later, its time for your medicines i will bring it to you". I could tell her that he is a mafia and this was a forced marriage so i again changed the topic and this time she didnt protest understanding that i was not willing to talk.

I handed her pills and she quickly popped them in her mouth and drinking water followed. She handed me the glass and i placed it on the nearby table, tucking her in the bed switching off the lamp i kissed her forehead and turned to leave when she pulled me by my hand.

"Are you happy with him?" She asked in a low voice.

I smiled with tears and just nodded in yes.

"Then nothing more matters" she said as he hand left my wrist and she faced the other side.

I left the room feeling ashmed. Turning the lights off and closing the door behind me.

Kabir straightened up seeing me. "Is she ok?" He asked and i saw genuine worry in his eyes.

"Yes she just  fell asleep" i said wiping my tears.

We both sat down on the bench and didnt know what to say.

"Do you want to sleep? We can go to a nearest hotel and come again in the morning". He started.

"No i am fine here, but you can go". I said.

"No i am fine aswell". He replied.

"No really you can go, i can stay by myself". I really didnt wanted him to stay because of me.

"No baby i wont ever leave you all alone here". I said and i just sighed there is no point of arguing. He put his arms around my shoulder and i snuggled in ad he kissed my head.

"She found out that i got married and it is shocking for her because i didnt tell her at all...so i was thinking maybe you meet her and  talk to her maybe she will understand that you are a food guy....and.....". I was very nervous about what mom would think about him.

"I will try my best to impress my mom-in-law and dont worry she will like me afterall who wouldn't fall in my charms". He said and i cracked.

"Yeah who wont fall for you". I looked up to see him looking straight into my eyes.
He slowly leaned down to kiss me and took my lips in his.

We slowly brok apart "Dont worry i will take care of everything". He said rubbing my thigh.
I didnt said anything and just snuggled into him.
