It was a beautiful sunny day in the city of Mumbai, the birds were chirping as the soared through the air carried by a gentle breeze the swept through the city. It was a perfect day for and outing thought Pragya when she was getting ready to meet Disha earlier and so decided to make the most of it by taking her little princess along to enjoy the day. They hadn't been spending any quality time together like they usually did back in London ever since they came to India and it made Pragya worry that Kiara may have started feeling neglected. And so the two of the set out together, no bodyguards, no nothing..... just mother and daughter.

Pragya's Car

Pragya was driving happily as she chatted with Kiara who was sitting in the backseat, the laughed and joked around, mostly at king's expense as they poked fun at his silly habits and pet peeves.... specifically his germ phobic tendencies. Pragya listened with a smile on her face as her daughter talked endlessly about her days and little adventures she had with her dad.

Kiara : (while staring out the window) I like it here

Pragya smiled hearing this because deep down she was worried that Kiara would have a hard time adjusting because she never grew up there.

Pragya : This is your home baby, Our home. it always has been.

But Kiara's smile turned into a little frown and her eyebrows curled with a puzzled look on her face. After a long pause, she decided to ask

Kiara : mommy?

Pragya : yes baby

Kiara : if this is our home, why have we never come here before?

This question made Pragya extremely tenses and she tightened her grip on the steering wheel, reminiscing incident that happened seven years ago and how she practically fled from her own home to a foreign land just to get away from her past. How could she even begin to explain this to her little girl?

pragya continuously wrestled with her inner thoughts and the rest of the drive was filled with absolute silence.

MEHRA MANSION

Now gathered in the Living room where the elders of both the Mehra and Singh-Arora families. Daadi, Sarla and Dholi were sitting on the big leather sofas across from each other, each sipping from a cup of tea and sharing a light conversation. The reason that they met up was to discuss the way forward with the wedding of course.

Daadi : (clears her throat) first of all, I would like to once again really apologize for my grandchildren's behavior at the engagement....I assure you that is not how I raised them at all.

She said with the utmost shame in her voice, she couldn't even look them in the eye as she spoke which equally made them feel bad

Dholi : There's no need for that Mrs Mehra, let's just burry the hatchet and let bygones be bygones. We are going to be in-laws after all.

Daadi : Oh no please dear, you don't have to be so formal with me, like you said we are going to be in-laws so we'll be more like family...... please do call me Daadi just like everyone else.

She said with a warm smile on her face as she looked at Sarla who smiled back feintly

Dholi : Thank you, Daadi
