Arora Estate - Eden Garden

Pragya sat peacefully in the garden as the warm rays of the morning sun kissed her skin, and the little song birds sang their melodies in the trees. She had come out after breakfast so she could catch up on some reading and meditation while taking in the fresh morning air that carried the sweet scent of the beautiful flowers in the garden. Now she slowly swayed back and forth on the swing chair she sat on as she sipped on her favorite green tea, there was a lot on her mind today, some good things and some bad. She reminisced about everything that happened in the last couple of weeks, from the moment they arrived. Of course there were some crazy unfortunate incidents, all involving those people she didn't even want to think about, but more than that there were some amazing things that happened too.

Somehow every single one of those bad things that happened resulted in a positive growth, the engagement fiasco for example, led to her finally gathering the courage to confess her feelings to King, and the restaurant incident made her finally stand up to that Bastard ex of hers and put him in his place. Similarly last night's game fiasco was by no means a pleasant experience, but it made her and King realise their shortcomings as parents and also as partners, it helped them address those issues and take steps to rectify them. It was funny really, it seemed like everything that was meant to tear her family apart only brought them closer together, with this thought she remembered what happened at breakfast

Flashback

King and Pragya had come down for breakfast and only a handful of the family was there with them because most of them were exhausted from the games so they slept in. Only King, Pragya, Sarla, Disha, Purab, Dholi, and JoJo were there, because they (except Purab) were used to the game nights whereas for the Luthras it was their first time so they were too beat.

As everyone was plating their food, Tarun came down to join them with a meek little Kiara following behind him. Her head was hung low in shame and she could barely face everyone. They all felt really bad seeing their little baby girl in such a state but had to act unfazed so she would learn her lesson, the person who struggled the most with this was King.....he was fighting the urge to just scoop her up into his arms and hug her tight.  Pragya could see him struggling and she held his hand underneath the table  and squeezed it to remind him to stay strong.

Tarun stood beside Kiara and gave her a little signal before clearing his throat to get everyone's attention.

Tarun : Family. I believe Kia has something to say to you all.

Kiara looked up at him with her teary little eyes, she was scared and nervous, but he gave her a reassuring smile and patted her head in a "you've got this" kind of way.

She looked at everyone, took a deep breath to muster some courage, and then lowered her head and held her ears.

Kiara : I'm sorry. I cheated, and cheating is very wrong....I was wrong, I'm really really sorry, please forgive me. I promise I'll never ever do it again.

She looked up at King and Pragya with a quivering little lip she said "Mommy, Daddy, I'm sorry"

King could barely hold it together, her sad little eyes melted his heart and Pragya's too, but in this case Daddy was the weaker one and he looked at Pragya with an "I can't take this anymore" expression on his face, she held back her laugh seeing how father and daughter had the same exasperated look on their faces and she nodded affirmatively giving him the go ahead. King immediately scooped his little girl in a warm embrace as though they hadn't seen each other for years, it was quite dramatic and made everyone chuckle a little. Pragya smiled at them, feeling a great sense of relief, she was worried that her daughter may have inherited that nasty Pride that ran in the Mehra family that did not allow any of them to admit when they were wrong, but now that worry was lifted. After a little while King and Kiara parted from the hug and they were both beaming with Joy, he sat her on his lap and spoke.
