Hey y'all, hope you're all doing good, I'm still kicking so that's good enough lol. I know I've been quiet for a while with this book, and I apologise to my faithful readers who were eager to see the next part of the story. But I'm back now and hopefully for a little while longer.
Also, I switched some of the team members for the games. The change is as follows:
Tarun - was team pragya - now team King
JoJo - was team King - now team Pragya

.In the confines of his room, a restless Abhishek paced back and forth endlessly as a flood of emotions consumed him. There were so many thoughts running through his mind, so many distant memories that felt like only yesterday, memories of his love, his wife, his fuggi..... memories of all the plans they made, the dreams they shared. So many conflicting emotions surged through him, excitement, joy, confusion, wonder, but most of all, he was angry..... because although he did not know for certain that Kiara was his, the mere thought of it being true and Pragya having kept it from him hurt terribly.
How could she do that to him? after all the conversations they had about their future children, the cute names they picked out and the little clothes they pointed out whenever they were at the store....how could she deprive him of that joy? The joy of hearing her little beating heart for the first time at the ultrasound, the joy of picking out her tiny clothes and putting together her crib, the joy of holding her in his arms the day she came into the world, the joy of rocking her to sleep every night in his arms, hearing her say her first words and watching her take her first steps.
How? How could she not only deprive him of all those special moments, but give them to another man? Oh how it made his blood boil, the thought of that man having been there holding his fuggi's hand as she brought HIS child into the world, him being the first to hold her.....it was all too much.
This, this would not do! It simply wouldn't! It drove him mad to wonder what could be, he had to know for sure, he had to be absolutely certain without a shadow of a doubt. But how? How would he get the truth? He one that he definitely wouldn't get it out of Pragya because he couldn't even get within meters of her without that man interfering, and besides, he was sure she would deny it anyway. Think! Think Abhi!, he thought to himself, he racked his brain for a way until he realised something.
He grabbed his phone and went through pragya's social media, he realised she had blocked him on his official profile so he created a fake account and stalked her. He tried everywhere, Instagram, Facebook, and even Twitter but all of her accounts were now private. Then he tried King's accounts to try and find atleast one little piece of information that would help him, but he didn't because King seemingly never posted about his personal life on his social media.
But then he had a lightbulb moment, Tarun! He looked through King's follower list and for sure Tarun was there, and guess what? His account was not private...and it had lots of content from his personal life since he wasn't a celebrity like his brother. Abhi scrolled and scrolled through endless pictures and videos until he came across one post that stoked the flame of his suspicion, a selfie of Tarun and Kiara that he posted on her last birthday.
Abhi's eyes lit up and welled with tears, he zoomed in on Kiara's face and a tearful smile appeared on his face. She was his, he could feel it, he knew it, he studied her face and traced her features...she was beautiful, and now that he really looked at her, she beared a resemblance to his late mother.
He thought back to all the interactions he had with her, from the first day he met her at that airport there was just something about her that called out to him. He didn't understand it then, why this little kid could get under his skin so easily, he forgot because it had been so long....the version of himself he pretended never existed, the stubborn sharp mouthed kid that had to grow up too fast to be the man of the house when his parents died. She was just like him, her witt, her courage, her adorable little face of course...she was HIS DAUGHTER, and he would do EVERYTHING in his power to get her back. But first, he had to prove it....he needed irrefutable proof that she was his blood, because he knew that those Singhs would not let him claim what was his so easily.
