"Okay... Yeah, you're good to go!"

Caelum smiled, it reaching his eyes as he lead you to the door, Venus, who earlier was glaring you down, refused to make eye contact with you. You were given better clothes, being the brother of Reaven's first concubine gave you more perks, mainly because you were a male. Someone was waiting at the door. He had fluffy brown hair, styled in an undercut, and dark brown eyes. He reminded you of someone, just not a person you had a close relationship with.

"Y/n, this is William, he'll lead you to anywhere you want inside the palace."

William had long eyelashes and a softer face shape than the other people who stood out to you, he wore beautifully done makeup, sharp eyeliner in a vibrant red and his lips coloured a darker shade. If there was a blemish on his skin he covered it perfectly, if you were to believe he did it himself.

William bows, his hands meeting below his waist.

"I hope I can be of service."

You decided not to tell him to call you by name.

"And, Y/n, if you ever need a break from everyone else, you're welcome to come to my office."

"Thank you."

Maybe you said it too softly but you weren't used to someone showing you genuine kindness, people were always treating you like a god among mortals because of your old position but, when you were nothing more but a mere servant and people, mostly named Damien, treated you like the dirt they walk on, Caelum stood as a beacon of light.

Perhaps you were dramatic.

"So, where too?"

Did they burn the books of the third in this world?

"The library, please."

You wouldn't be taken to The Gods Heaven but, since people sometimes use the temple as a peaceful place to work or study, there was a more commonly known library. You bow slightly at the doctors before you swiftly follow the brunette. He was wearing platforms, adding quite a few inches to his height and if he wasn't he might've been just as tall as Damien, and every time they hit the floor it continued a familiar pattern.

Left, right, left, right.

SHUT UP YOU FOOL

Windows let in a lot of natural light, less need for candles and many pieces of the glass were stained, each showing the figure of a Priest. The first showed a Priest you didn't recognize, as well as the second, but the third was obviously the curtain Priest, three wings made of blue glass sat to his right, attached to his back, while he faced the left, covered in a red robe. While it was beautiful, it didn't do him justice.

William sat you at a table, fetching you books and soon leaving to get some tea.

Someone watches through the window and someone walks up behind you.

You feel a hand tightly grip your shoulder.

"You know how to read?"

"You scared the life out of me!"

Damien didn't even flinch when you loudened your tone, he just kept looking down on you, both literally and figurately as you were sitting. He was restyled, his hair freshly cut and he wasn't wearing his usual knight amour, he wore a long overcoat and tighter pants. Both items hugged his form though you didn't look for too long as you soon spotted his sword attached to his belt. He sounded both interested and as if he couldn't care less.

"How do you know how to read? That's something only nobility or those with education can do."

You come up with a quick lie that you hoped would keep him off your back and away from you.

"I wanted to be a judge when I was younger-"

"You shouldn't lie to me, demon. My blade is made of blessed steel."

"I'm not a demon."

"You're something unholy, you need to be trained to learn your place."

You laugh, standing up to leave but you're pushed back down to the seat, two hands on your shoulders. Damien was short but he was strong.

"I'm not as mad as I was before, I know you just need to be trained."

You didn't like how he was talking, almost whispering into your ear. One of his hands released your shoulder, reaching to your side to grab something you didn't know he had brought. It wraps around your poor neck, the beheading, the blade, the everything, and it makes a click behind your head. He fully releases you, letting you look down to see what he had put around your throat.

A... necklace?

"Be thankful, if it weren't for me you would soon be killed by the Priest."

The purple gem is one you don't recognize, though the gold it's attached to is far too familiar. Gold wasn't even all that great! Why do people make everything out of gold!?

"You'll follow my every order without fail, got that?"

"W-what?"

He grips your shoulder again, squeezing it in an almost threatening matter.

"You will address me as sir, understood?"

"Yes, sir?"

You were more than confused and more than thankful when William comes holding a tray of warm tea. It smelt like violets and cinnamon, a comforting scent. He set it down, glaring at the knight behind you. He pulled Damien aside, a disappointed look on his face.

The eyes on you from the window also glaring, upset that you had been claimed by another but they don't let it stop them from desiring you.
