I enter the Kitchen and walked towards the fridge to get some orange juice completely ignoring my parents that are sitting at the breakfast table.

I grab a glass cup from the cabinet and unscrew the cap of the orange juice. As I was pouring the juice into the cup my twin brother Olly walks in.

"Good morning Oliver." My mother greets putting down her phone and balling her hands together.

"Morning." My brother replied with a yawn.

I grab another glass from the cabinet and poured my brother some orange juice. I slide it towards Olly and he nods thanking me.

"So since it's your birthday today what do you want to do?" My mother asks him.

"Uh, I don't know maybe throw a party later," Olly says shrugging his shoulders and sipping his orange juice.

I open the fridge again and placed the carton backm I then grab an apple for myself and closed the fridge door. I take a bite of the apple as I look at my mom and brother converse.

"Okay, that's fine." My mother nods bringing her focus back on her phone.

Mom always does this, she Ignores my presence and then converses with my brother. But I'm okay with that because when she's not ignoring me she is degrading me

When she found out she was pregnant, she was told that she was having one child, my brother.

When she gave birth I surprised her with my existence and she did not like that. She has never liked it.

Ever since I was young all she did was ignore me or verbally abuse me, my father would just ignore it and pretend he is working.

My brother became my best friend, he would do anything for me. When we were younger mom never got me toys to play with nor clothes and hygiene products like shampoo and conditioner. I would get the 3 in 1.

I know gross.

Mother always got the good things for my brother. Most of the time when we were younger he would give me his things.

I would get his clothes that he couldn't fit in and sometimes some of his hygiene products. He would also sneak me some toys or books since mom never allowed me to play with or get them. Most of the time I wasn't even allowed to play with my brother.

And it's not like we're poor, we have money. My mother works as a surgeon and my father works as a lawyer. They both make a lot of money. My mom is just petty and wants me to know that she doesn't care for my existence, she shows me every day that she doesn't want me.

"Ivy." I snap out of my thought and look up at Olly.

"You okay, I've tried talking to you like 5 times. " I nod at him.

"Yeah I'm fine, just lost in thought. " I give him a fake smile.

"Okay, well what I wanted to tell you, happy birthday. " I smile at him.
